Chereads / Chaos Incarnate: Homer's Pen / Chapter 32 - The Mistress of Flame

Chapter 32 - The Mistress of Flame

"Bolt!" Night should've been panicking right now, the only reason he wasn't was because his 'brother' was singing his song.

Ana was being overpowered by me, the problem was that since she could only feel the aftermath of void she couldn't react fast enough to dodge. She was going to die if this kept up.

She bit her finger, drawing out the blood from her tips as she dripped it down onto the stone with a rune. Subsequently, she was teleported away.

Having lost my target, I turned to Night and Last. Before I could do anything though, I was stopped by a wall of flames.

-------------------------------------------------

I was testing out a few theories I had when I got a message on my ID.

'Miss, a god-level threat has been identified, you are the closest so if you would please ...'

I turned it off, I only acted when I felt like it or when my master told me to.

After a minute, my phone rang, it was my master.

"Plamya, why aren't you moving yet?" I was shocked that my master wanted me to act on this.

"I don't want to be rude, but why should I act, is there anything special about this threat?"

"Yes, the one who's currently fighting it can use void and he hasn't gotten a full grasp on it.

At that, I started moving.

When I got there I saw a girl biting her finger and teleporting away, in front of her was a black-haired male with red energy moving around him.

This wasn't good, I could sense that it was void, and if it was completely red then that meant that his mental state wasn't ... good to say the least. I panicked when I saw him turn towards one of his allies, I moved and started hearing a song and I immediately calmed down.

I summoned a wall of fire that became much more powerful than what I intended, this wasn't because of me being so calm, this was something else. I looked towards the guy singing.

"Stop it, RIGHT NOW." He was too shocked to react except for stopping. When he did, the man calmed down and the red energy disappeared.

-------------------------------------------------

The song stopped and I used that to immediately take back control. It was weird but I felt strangely relieved, the anger was easier to control, I had noticed this during the fight, the longer it went on the more I was actually able to influence what I was doing.

I looked to the one who had supposedly summoned the wall of flame and was dumbstruck, this was the woman whose statue stood at the entrance of the tower, the most powerful non-immortal.

Standing there was Plamya, The Mistress of Flame. I hadn't noticed it because I was distracted but Last and Bao had teleported away to.

She examined me like I was the weirdest thing she had ever seen and then she ... I don't want to say it because it was one of the most embarrassing moments of my life.

She pulled on my ear and made me follow her around like that. Do remember that there had been a lot of cameras outside, they all swarmed us.

"Can you fly?" I nodded. "Then fly, and no trying to escape, I have full access to the GPS in your ID so you can't escape me."

I didn't know what I had done wrong but I listened, I had been struggling to fight those three and she had scared them away just by being there. I sure as hell wasn't going to piss her off.

I took off and flew after her, making sure not to hurt anybody. I flew after Plamya who had just propelled herself using fire, how that worked was beyond me but I also didn't really care.

She landed on the top of a mountain. When I landed I saw a teleport pad waiting for us. She gestured for me to get on and we teleported away.

When we reappeared I was surprised to find we were in a big room with a floor made of glass, the glass showed the lobby. We were in Olympus but if I recalled correctly, the lobby didn't have a glass roof.

"Yeah, don't enjoy the view, we need to talk to my master, she has a lot to explain, I mean, she didn't tell me about another like me."

"Excuse me?" I looked at her like she was crazy.

"I'm talking about being a demigod, I mean she trained another when she promised that she wouldn't until I ascended."

To steal Nora's line, I nearly fainted.
