This has gotten out of hand, she needed to return immediately. The only problem was, that all her belongings including her passport, were in her bag and she lost when she got kidnapped. Jo had to think of a way to get back to UK.
Lu Ye Ze was in his office reading the updates Butler Gu was sending him about Jo, when his phone started ringing, it was his mother.
"Yes".
"Ah-Ze!! Come home quickly, come now, Stefan's daughter disappeared!!" Lin Yan was exasperated on the phone, she was waiting for Miss's Müller arrival in China, as well as her parents, but she wasn't in the plane that landed two hours ago and she could not be reached by any means, her phone was turned off. All her family was frantic looking for her. Lin Yan knew with the help of her son and the amount of power he held in China, they would find her in no time. She was praying to the Gods for the girl to be alright and not harmed.
"What has that got to do with me?!" Replied the man seemed rather disturbed by her call.
"What!!! How dare you... you..." The woman was at a loss for words so she hung up.
For the past few days Jo stayed put, mostly enjoying the gardens of the estate not venturing out, but actually she concocted a plan of how to get out of China without anyone noticing. After breakfast, she asked the Butler to arrange a car and a driver for her, she claimed she wanted to explore the Forbidden City today. As usual the butler informed his Master.
The car stopped in a parking lot near the Palace and Jo went out, she disappeared quickly through the crowd. Jo looked back and after she made sure she couldn't see the driver anymore she took a few other left and right turns and went to a taxi bay near by. She got in and let out a deep sigh, she could finally breathe, she felt herself again, her life belonged to her and she wasn't in danger anymore. A wide and bright smile appeared on her face, she had never felt better.
Half an hour later at the hotel Jo asked the reception about her luggage, she was supposed to have vacated her room a week ago and she wondered what have they done with it. The receptionist told her that they still had her belongings and went to the back to retrieve get it. A few minutes later Jo was sitting in the hotel's lobby rummaging through her bag to see if she missed anything.
Fortunately all was in place, she then took her brief case and pulled her laptop out, when she noticed something fell on the floor. Jo looked down to pick the object up and froze in her spot. A dark blue booklet was face down on the burgundy carpet. Jo starred at it in disbelief for a long time.
Her passport! "OMG my passport... my passport was in my briefcase?!..." Jo was beyond stunned, she picked it up and looked at it. Yes it was her very own passport, she thought it was in her bag. In the next second, she pulled the phone she stole from that maid and bought the next flight, to anywhere but China. She then gathered all her belongings and rushed in to a cab, to go to the airport. The closest flight to home she could book in the next hours was to Poland, so without hesitation she booked the flight with the company's credit card that she found in her briefcase.
It felt unbelievable, she could go home, she was on her way home and she could finally escape this nightmare.
At the airport, Jo paid the cab fare and headed towards the terminal, she started running to reach the gate, when someone grabbed her hand and pulled her back. Jo lost her balance and fell into the man's warm embrace.
"Where do you think you're going?!"
