Chapter 73 - Susanoo

Dix summoned a shadow clone, which simply turned around and walked out of the room. "Actually I should've done this a while ago." Rand only managed to put up a dumb expression, then asked.

"What did you do?"

"I sent out around 300 clones that can detect negative or harmful emotions in people. I'll clear out the village a bit. They will be able to sort out people like our killer. Also spies, other psychopaths and maybe even some bandits and career criminals. I had a thought I should do this sooner or later, but I kinda forgot..." Dix explained. He had free access to Kurama's chakra, and gave the minimum amount to the clones they needed of it to activate it's special trait of sensing emotions, more or less.

Rand didn't answer, so Dix turned around to see whats up with him, but all he could see was the open mouth and dumbstruck face of his 'superior'.

"Well I suppose we exhausted both options, lets go back to Tsunade and ask for another assignment." Dix said with some glee in his voice. He never got tired of seeing people in awe of his abilities.

"Wait a second... Tsunade put you under my wing so I can use my experience and better judgment to bring criminals to justice... How is this different to you taking her instructions to nothing and act on your own accord? She wanted you to learn how to properly treat people as a peace-keeper."

"My clones are only going to find and disarm any suspect that are potentially harmful for the village. Next they will bring them back for questioning and they'll let the higher-ups decide their fate. I believe this is the most efficient way to deal with things like homicide or spies."

"But how do you know who actually committed any crime? There are many negative emotions, not just crime-related ones..."

"Obviously, even you and I have harmful tendencies. But there are subtle differences that I can't really explain to you but is clearly visible for me trough the nine tailed beast's power. When a few suspects are taken in we'll see who they are after the interrogation."

"I... I see, I can't really argue with that. We'll see..."

In a minute they were back at Tsunade's office. A few seconds after they entered a loud shout was heard from inside.

"You did what?!"

Dix obviously knew he kinda cheated the system here, so he started explaining himself right away. He told Tsunade the same thing Rand was given, that he can filter the criminals in the city just with Kurama's power. First she was astonished, next she grasped the many problems this concept could have. Dix tried to dissolve her worries, but even if this power proved to be the best criminal detector in the world, there was at least one problem, namely that there wasn't enough space for so many criminals around here at once, nor were there enough manpower to properly go trough the judgement process with these people.

Hearing this Dix couldn't help but shrug.

"I've done my part of the job, it's not my fault I'm too efficient. You just have to put up with this for now and get trough the hurdle once. I can help the situation a bit by telling the clones to bring in only the dangerous criminals while others like petty thieves or smugglers take lower priority and will be dealt with later. Is that good enough?" At first Tsunade's brows twitched a bit, but she didn't voice any complain and could only sigh. At least this offer was more sensible.

"Okay, that will be enough. First we have to see if your 'power' really is trustworthy. For now just stay on standby till I sort this mess out... You are dismissed." she said ending the sentence with another heavy sigh. The two ANBU acknowledged their dismissal and left the room. Outside Rand turned to Dix.

"You can go and do whatever you want. I believe you have a clone next to the Hokage so she will be able to contact you once you are needed again. Don't stay in your ANBU equipment if you go outside. Nobody can know your new identity. Well, kid, it was a hectic first day, off you go now."

"Sure, thanks Rand." Dix replied, then went back to the changing room, grabbed his normal set of clothes, then teleported back to HQ.

Not long ago he was informed by clones that their training with the Susanoo reached the 3rd level. He never really used it at all, but still it is a remarkable ability that can synergize with the big Kurama form very well. Because of this he left it to his clones to try and get it working. Now it was time to try it out.

Obviously he has memories of the training, but that isn't enough. He wanted to see the Susanoo's limits. Instead of wrecking his 'home', he decided to use the mountains not far from there, the same place where he fought Kisame and Itachi.

*Hmm I wonder how hes doing...* he said, reminiscing about his only memory with Itachi.

*Not like you have to worry for him, he definitely seemed to be a tough cub.* Kurama answered the question that wasn't actually asked. It was rare of him to show interest toward anyone, so Dix had to overcome a small surprise, then took mental note of this odd behavior.

He suddenly appeared at the late battlefield where he killed Kisame a while ago. The plateau was a complete mess. Even though the blown up ice-shards already melted, the devastation the antimaterasu caused was still plain to see.

Dix looked around but to his dismay Kisame's body was gone. Last time he kinda forgot to handle that bit, and now he had no idea what happened to it. It is possible Itachi took the body, but the other way is Zetsu discovering and taking the corpse as Akatsuki's own. Even though no one was supposed to know what happened here, except for Itachi, but still, this is a loose end, a mistake he can't afford to make anymore.

Not much he can do to help this situation anymore. So instead of dwelling on it he just pushed these distracting thoughts away and tapped into the marvelous powers that were circling deep inside his body.

He opened his eyes, which now turned into his unique blue EMS. Suddenly grayish chakra started permeating from his every pore. Soon it coalescent into different parts of a body. First the bones, then the muscles and tendons, lastly, when the whole body was made, an armor got layered on the already huge, around 100 meter tall figure.

The Susanoo was completely gray in color, with an armor unlike any before. It looked like some sort of heavy-duty modern military or anti-terrorist equipment. It was interesting to say the least, considering most of the other Susanoos looked like japanese samurais or something similar, but Dix's was made to look like something that won't be available in this world for many many years, if at all.

When the clones tried to advance to the 3rd level of Susanoo many of them imagined a SWAT unit when they were supposed to picture the armor. It turns out subjective experiences and thoughts have a good deal to do with this power.

Soon in both of his hands huge sickles with abnormally long handles and blades materialized. First he had no idea what to do with them, because actually he didn't know how to use any kind of weaponry, but he was able to instinctively combine the two, turning the weapon into a double-bladed long staff.

It looked absolutely awesome, Dix had no problem with that for sure, but it was kinda useless in his hands.

*Well, I can always try and learn from someone. I have no idea what the name of this weapon is or if anyone can teach me, but whatever. I'll ask someone, maybe Tsunade.*

In the next few hours Dix tried many things, like breaking rocks, trying to cut the mountain and so on. In the anime Madara used the 4th level of Susanoo to carve mountains kilometers away in half.

This really sounded impossible, but Dix was actually able to do serious damage from afar after some trial and error. He didn't really know how it was possible, but seemingly the power of a Susanoo's swing can travel way farther than its blade's actual range. Obviously he was only able to make a relatively deep cut into the neighbouring mountain, which wasn't too far itself. Still, it was interesting. Most interesting.
