It was the year 2010, a child was born on Earth who was fundamentally different than others. He was sent to Bangladesh, a country in South Asia . He along with his family lived in Chittagong, the port city of Bangladesh. The country was a developing country. It was overall a simple community. The people were simple people who just wanted a place in this vast world. The abnormal child was named Mohammad Zairul Islam by his family after 1 year of his birth. He was abnormal because he was quite interested in everything of this world be it a chair, a sofa , or cars or actually anything. Everyone found it weird but shrugged it off as the simple curiosity of a baby . This child later on became extremely quiet. He used to talk only when he needed something which he couldn't get by himself. Normally, his mother and father were the only persons he would talk to. He had two siblings, One was an older sister and a younger brother. They were too focused on themselves to notice him. So he used to go to a nearby park or a quiet and empty place and stay there for hours when he became 3 years old. His parents used to go insane at his disappearance but later on they got used to it. A few months later, his father and grandfather had a serious quarrel for which his father decided to take his family to Dhaka ,the capital city of Bangladesh. After settling in Dhaka with the help of only maternal relatives , Zairul and his family led a simple life. His father was an engineer who graduated from BUET, the number one engineering university in Bangladesh. His mother was a simple housewife but was very interested in literature and was very talented in it. She was secretly a poet. With mainly one earning member of the family , the family of five were still living quite well in Dhaka.
Then 7 years passed, and the world became a more complicated thing to Zairul who was now 10 years old. He was a big fan of ShahRukh Khan and admired him. He was also inspired by Galileo , who preached the truth of science to the then stupid and religiously obsessed mankind and by Thomas Edison , who found a new, different angle to look at one's own failures. He was always interested in people who rose from the bottom to the top in the society. He also wanted to become like them. It was only the simple wishes of a naive child . He finally realised that reality is very much different from movies or fantasies. Even though he knew ,living in fantasies won't help him much in reality, he still did them without any control whatsoever. Later on , he literally destroyed his own health, education, skills, sleep, body, way of life , his exterior and interior sides and his very core of existence obsessing over the difference between reality and fantasy. To him , the difference between reality and imagination or fantasy was very blurry. He became very sick at age 10 along with Coronavirus spreading throughout the world as a pandemic in 2020. He was not affected by Coronavirus directly but indirectly he was most affected as his very core of existence was damaged to quite an extent and there was no guarantee of recovery. The reason of his unstable condition was Coronavirus. Due to Coronavirus, he was not going to school, learning anything new or any skills, he threw himself to the entertainment sector and watched movies, anime and everything there was and tried to enter those fantasies by himself and this made reality seem too cruel to him as there weren't any superpowers or miracles and everything was bound by a curse called logic. Soon he was taken to hospital where he stayed for days . The darkness seemed to overwhelm him completely and his death didn't seem far. His family was worried sick. During this time and space of darkness befalling upon him, he could feel them to his very core at his hospital bed. Months passed at this way, finally came December. At this time, to Zairul, a feeble yet bright , a kind yet strong, light of hope started to shine .
Will he die just like this seeing a happy scene just before dying like the others do ? Or this light is different from the ones which we see just before our deaths? Is this actually the light of hope or death? Will he win or lose ? What will happen to him? Is this a fake like before ? Is it just an empty light? Will he die or make a comeback? This abnormal child's fate depends upon fate itself , not me , I can say that at least as its writer.
