I got out of the spring and walked over to the bushes. I said again"Come out or I will call my guards!" A wolf slowly crawled on his belly to where I was standing. He was showing submission. A wolf only shows submission when they are weak, or to their mate. This wolf didn't look weak. "Shift! Now!" I commanded. The young wolf did as he was told. In front of me stood a 20 year old man. His body was well toned and he was handsome. "Why are you here spying on me?" I asked. "And who are you?"
"My name is Harper, and I think you're my mate." I looked into his eyes and suddenly my vision got blurry except for where Harper stood and the most enticing smell of pine hit my nose. I reached out my hand and he took it. Sparks flew up my hand and shot through my body(this only happens once to signify it is indeed your mate). I jerked my hand back and asked,"Mate?"
"Mate!" Harper said in reply.
Everything went black as I passed out.

When I woke up, Harper was sitting by the spring and it was dark out. 'Crap! Its time for my Alpha ceremony!' I thought to myself. But what about Harper? Guess I'll have to drag him along. I grabbed Harpers outstretched hand to pull myself up. "I have an Alpha ceremony to get to." I explained to him. "And the name's Diana." I pulled him all the way to the ceremony. Harper didn't say a word. When we arrived, everyone was surprised to see a new wolf within this pack lands. I announced in my Alpha tone,"I am the Alpha now! My father had only me as a child and my mother has abandoned this pack to find her second chance mate. Whoever disapproves may leave and become rogues!"When nobody disagreed, I announced," I know you are all wondering who this wolf is next to me. His name is Harper, and he is my mate,"
A few wolves gasped, some let out an approval. "My mating ceremony will be held in 4 days. In that time, I hope to get to know my mate."
Harper spoke up," I am Harper, Alpha of the Danger Pack! Diana of the Royalty pack, I pledge myself to be loyal to you and only you as a mate. I cannot wait to get to know you!"
I stared in shock as I was mated to another Alpha. How could this be? I was mated to the most brutal Alpha of all time, yet he shows no brutality towards me nor my pack?
