Character Sketch

The Amer Princess Jodha Bai : Main Female Lead

A fearless nineteen-year-old princess of Amer was famous for her splendor beauty. She was bestowed with the title 'A Desert Rose' "Registan Ka Gulab" by the Rajput tribe. Not only for her beauty, but she was famous for her warrior skills as well. Her innocent hazel eyes behold charismatic power to affect others easily. She was loyal and entirely devoted to Amer. She lived in a protected cocoon made by his brother and father. The young lady has not seen the real world yet. Being a princess, there were many royal confines over her; however, she broke confines too frequently. It was not easy to capture her in boundaries.

Her heart was beaded with golden beads. She was sympathetic towards poor and ordinary people. So far... life was being fair to her and has never allowed her to cry yet. When it comes to God, she was a divine, solid believer, and without prayer, she does not eat or drink anything. Her most substantial point was her willpower and belief in God.

Just like any other girl, she fancied for the love of her life. So far, in her Nineteenth year of age, no man had ever been able to touch her romantic heart.

Mughals were the biggest enemy and constant threat over the Amer Kingdom. Since her childhood, she has heard many negative stories about Mughals and their brutalities, which created immense hatred towards Mughals from a very young age.

At the young age of merely thirteen Jalaluddin Muhammad, became emperor of the Mughal dynasty, the King of the Mughal Empire. His father's untimely death and unanticipated responsibility made him further matured; his golden heart turned into iron. He had seen brutality and betrayals in his teenage, which forced him to conclude that he needs to kill to survive. His belief changed the fear, the only way people bow down. He spent his early years of life learning how to win a war, kill, and fight.

Due to Dyslexia, he never learned how to read or write. Regardless of his illiteracy, his liberal vision and strong leadership qualities made him a great ruler of the Mughal Empire. He was the first ruler in Indian history who ruled on the entire Hindustan under his administration.

His childhood was shaped up under the shadow of Bairam Khan, a heartless chief of Mughal Army commander and the calculating player Maham Anga, the foster mother and chief nurse of Jalal. These two black shadows turned Jalal's golden heart little by little into a stone. He became Ruthless... Heartless... Supercilious... Egoistic...

His ONLY principle in life was 'WINNING IS EVERYTHING.' In a short period, he captured seventy-five percent of Hindustan under his command.

His greatest trait as an emperor was his manipulation and political tactics, and his weakest trait was his ANGER, which he could not control easily.

His harem was filled with five thousand concubines and begums; he lusted for women at his young age. Most of the women in his harem were charmed by his alluring personality. His sharp look and dominating eyes always captured women's hearts with ease. Women were ready to kill each other to gain Jalal's attention. He had never seen rejection from any woman in his life.

Jalal's mother, Mariam Makhani: The Royal Highness, Queen Hamida banoo:

In right words, her personality was regal; in any situation, she always kept her calm. Jalal's automated decision, which she hated and adored, at the same time. She knew Jalal felt isolated even though many queens and concubines surrounded him. Jalal respected her in front of people, but inwardly he hated her for ignoring him in his childhood.

Queen Rukaiya: Chief Queen and childhood friend of Jalal.

Jalal's first wife and childhood friend, he respected her but knew she hunger for power.

She was arrogant, dominating, rude, and hungry for power. She loves Jalal and thinks she controls Jalal's heart and mind.

Queen Salima: Jalal's second wife, and his ex-military Behram Khan's widow.

Maham Anga, (Wazir E Alia) Chief Minister, Jalal's foster mother:

She was a brilliant and manipulative politician who controlled almost all political decisions taken by Jalal. She could read Jalal's mind like a book; Jalal trusted her blindly and respected her more than his mother. She holds excessive grudges towards Hindus.

Maham's weakness was his son Adham Khan, who was short temper, irrational, but cruel.

Abdul: Jalal's mate, he followed Jalal's shadow. Exceptionally sharp but devoted to Jalal. Jalal seeks his advice when it derives to sentiment.

Atgah Khan: Chief Advisor

He held important positions in the court, as wakil (advisor or minister—Father figure to Jalal.
