After the ceremony Annette and Scott looked so happy to be part of the Tribe. As the Tribe surrounded them I felt happy to have two energetic tribemates join. But all that magic to activate their jewels was tiring. I yawned and looked at Mitzi, she was pretty drained too. We only use our powers when absolutely necessary because it's so draining.
"Elder Paw, I'm going to go take a nap." I said. He nodded not looking drained. Elder Paw had been doing this longer than Mitzi and me and she also had to alway use a bit every day to make sure the Tribe's aren't detected by humans. I dismissed myself and started to head to the den under the Great Tree's roots when I heard my name being called,
"Amara!" I smiled, I knew that voice. And knowing the person behind the voice, he would probably trip trying to get to me. I turned and walked toward the voice still smiling and arrived at a coyote boy. His name is Jacob, He's 17 just like me but he towers over me just like everyone else. Being 4ft 4in, you'd pretty much get used to everyone being taller than you. Anyway his light green eyes were searching for me and somehow his white pupils locked onto me.
"Amara! That was amazing!" He said happily and came to hug me. I met him halfway seeing a rock that he didn't and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"How could you tell?" I joked, and Jacob frowned.
"Hey just because I'm blind doesn't mean I can't feel the amount of magic that was used." He said back. I yawned into his chest,
"Jacob, can I go to sleep? That was exhausting." I muttered. His tail flicked,
"Yes, just tell me when you wake up ok?" His paw-shaped shirt pin glittered black as I replied with a yes. Jacob let go of me and I walked into my den. My ears brushed the roots at the entrance of my den. Inside the roots made perfect storing space for herbs and medicines. I had a makeshift bed made from a flat root that grew down from the tree, there was moss and ferns piled on top of it. I yawned again, my eyes drooping as I morphed into my animal form and curled up on my bed. I laid my big fluffy red tail over my muzzle and fell asleep.

I walked through the hot desert, the heat not affecting me as I searched. My dream led me to Scale Tribe territory so there must be a reason why. I saw a patrol of Scaleans. There were three people, one was a tall boy with blonde hair and a scar on his face. There was another boy just a bit shorter than him, his piercing yellow eyes and curled chameleon tail were darting around. The last person was...Elder Scales?! What's he doing? This Elder barely ever left his warm rock by their oasis camp. I walked closer, knowing they wouldn't be able to see me. Careful not to brush them I listened in to their conversation.
"So is it true that the Paw Tribe gained two new members?" Elder Scales asked with a hiss.
"Yes sir." The blonde replied. He didn't smile and his hiss sounded almost dead. The chameleon boy's head flicked looking everywhere. Elder Scales acknowledged this,
"Loki I want you to spy again and find out the genders of these new members. I need to know if they are the two of prophecy. If they are they must be destroyed." His hiss was deadly.
"Elder Scales, with all do respect. Why do we need to kill them?" The chameleon boy asked, he was twitching like he was on a sugar high. The boy Elder Scales named Loki facepalmed,
"Do you want me to explain for him Elder?" He asked, Elder Scales nodded wrapping his robe closer to himself.
"Cameron, if they are the two teens from the prophecy, it says they'll bring destruction to the Tribes. And we don't want that!" Loki explained looking at the now named Cameron. He tilted his head and was about to say something before Loki glared at him. After that he shut his mouth. I didn't even think about my prophecy when the twins got here! They're going after the twins! I started to panic as Loki started across the desert toward my home. I need to wake up!! I ran after Loki while mentally slapping myself. Wake up Amara! Just when I thought I wasn't going to wake up in time I heard my name,
"Amara!" And with that my dream went black.
