Chapter 2 - Chapter 2:

Having been up in space for five days and already had many, many disasters occur, the Janus crew's luck just keep going further and further down. Firstly having communication with Earth suddenly cut and then when they went to try and fix it, the ship unexpectedly jumped into light speed. Wanting to find hope in the dark tunnel, Ren and Luciel tried to see whether or not the navigation system could be easily fixed in a few minutes so when they left light speed, they'll at least one where they were. Unfortunately for the crew, the instant they left light speed, they were lost and without communication in the middle of what they hope to be the Milky Way Galaxy.

Currently residing in the medical room with an unexpected guest aboard the ship, the four men all sat circling the young lad who was getting treated for his bloody wound on his arm by Luciel. Ren and Marcus, both incredibly wary of the new crew member, and rather suspicious of him, kept their distance from the blonde boy, but Kennie, with a kind smile on his face, greeted himself to the lad named Chronos.

"So your name's Chronos?" Kennie asked, plopping himself next to the clearly underaged lad, "kinda unusual, right?"

Chronos chuckled and nodded, "I suppose so."

"Whatchu doing on the ship, mate?" He asked as Luciel finished bandaging Chronos' arm.

"There, all done," Luciel said, cleaning away the first aid kit, "not too tight is it?"

He shook his head and waved his arm about as he changed the subject and asked a question for himself, "this is the Janus ship, right? You're Ren, pilot of this ship," he pointed towards Ren, who warily nodded, "and that's the top space physicist, Marcus," Marcus nodded, "which means, the doctor on the ship is Luciel and the engineer is you, Kennie."

The four guys suddenly gained a concerned sensation rushing through their bones as Chronos exclaimed their positions. It wasn't like the guys were unknown on Earth, their roles and names and faces were publicly shown before they departed from Earth, but the fact that this Chronos person that none of them knew was on the ship and obviously very comfortable with everything, made them slightly uncomfortable.

"Chronos." Ren stood you from the corner of the room and waltz towards him, "you seem to know quite a bit about the ship, despite being young."

Chronos turned to face Ren, who towered over him as he remained sat on one of the medical beds, "really? I always thought it was pretty common to know bits about the average spaceship."

"Well, yes, but," Ren stumbled, "I don't know whether it was intentional that you made your way towards the bridge but-"

"Oh yeah, it was." Chronos interrupted, shocking the crew, "I was wondering how you guys were dealing with the whole lost in space issue."

"You know we're lost in space?" Kennie asked, "how? We're you eavesdropping?"

Chronos lifted his legs and crossed them, shrugging as he said, "well... The vents pick up quite a bit of noise, you know. And, the fact that, like, every alarm was going off didn't make your situation look pleasant."

Ren and Marcus sighed, unsure as to what to do with the unexpected guest aboard their ship. The two older guys glanced about their crewmates who each had their own unique expressions and opinions about the situation. On one hand, Kennie appeared thrilled and excited to have another person aboard the ship, hell, he looks ecstatic about the mystery guest. Whereas, Luciel looked more cautious but welcoming nonetheless.

"So..." Chronos said, interrupting the silence, "what's your guys' plan now? Head to that planet or float about?"

Stunned into silence, the four guys realised that from all the commotion the new crew member caused, they had completely forgotten all about the fact that they were, originally, in an argument about what to do. Whether it was to float about in space until they found another ship or land on the nearby planet.

"If you ask for my opinion," Chronos added, "I'd totally head down to that planet. It's probably the better option."

That was all Ren needed to hear before he got all into Marcus' face about how right he was and how wrong Marcus was. Sighing, Marcus shoved Ren away from him and turned to express his opinion about it all.

"You really want to believe this 15-year-old trespasser over your older, space physicist?" He motioned between himself and Chronos, "have you officially lost all your brain cells?"

Just as Ren was about to retort back, Chronos, once again, interrupted, "for your information, I'm seventeen."

"Still a kid." Marcus stated, before he completely started ignoring him, "so? Why listen to the kid who could've cause every issue on the ship."

Placing his hands on his hips and getting all into Marcus' face, he stated, "because he agrees with me. That's why."

And with that, Ren strutted off away from Marcus, dragging Luciel with him as they made it towards the bridge. Kennie and Chronos just followed along while Marcus sighed and reluctantly made his way over to the bridge. Once they arrived at the bridge, the five guys all sat down, separately, with the mess from the vents shifted towards the back all.

"All right everyone," Ren exclaimed, pointing towards the planet that is now much closer and clearer than before, "it's time to head towards that planet!"
