Chapter 2 - Nice To Meet Ya

Jo Jiwoo was working at the pool bar when she was informed that Mr. Baek was calling her from his office. She walked to the main hall and pressed the button to call the private elevator that went to the professional floors where all kinds of meetings for the management of the resort.

— Jiwoo! — Mr. Baek welcomed her. — Well, we came to the resort on business and we know how frustrating it is when our time is wasted. Therefore, we decided that you no longer need to serve us during our stay. — He paused probably waiting for some reaction from the girl, but she just kept hearing what Jongho was trying to say. — However, we want you to continue serving our families with the help of another employee, the choice of who will be is open to you. Well, I think this is what I wanted to warn you about. You can go now.

After giving a small respectful bow to the men in the office they were in, she turned toward the door. But a throat clearing made her stop.

— I just ask you for an extra thing. - This time, Mr. Jung's voice was present for the first time since they entered that room. He turned to Jiwoo, as he was on his back watching the landscape through the large glass window. — Don't choose Taeyong to help you. You are prohibited from such an act, nor dare to tell him about it. — He said in a harsh and authoritative tone, making apparent his disgust regarding the boy mentioned.

As much as that angered Jiwoo, she just said goodbye and left the room. After entering the elevator, she sighed. A sigh of relief, for being able to stop standing in the corner of some business room waiting for a mandate, and of frustration, for not being able to work alongside her best friend for the simple fact that Mr. Jung did not want his son to come near his boyfriend. What for the girl was a stupid way of wanting to separate the two since they were always together when they could. After 2 years of dating in those countless circumstances, she liked to believe that it would not be an angry father who would separate them.

During the day, she continues to help at the pool bar and looking for some information that would tell where the two boys were. After about an hour she saw Jaehyun reach the pool area and settle on the sun loungers that were by the pool. She thought it would be the perfect time to introduce herself and start her job as an escort.

— Good afternoon, Mr. Baek. I came to inform you that I will be accompanying you and Mr. Haesung for the rest of the trip. If you want, I'll be next to the bar. — she said cordially looking directly at Jaehyun, the phrase memorized by most of the accompanying staff came out so naturally from her lips that when she realized she had already said it and could leave.

— Jiwoo, right? - He said and waited for some reaction from the girl, and gave a roguish smile when he saw her stop on the way and turn back to the boy. - Okay, I'm glad you keep us company for the rest of the trip. However during this time, call me Jaehyun, this is my name. You don't have to call me Mister as you do with Haesung, I don't even know why you do that to him, it's ridiculous to see someone talking to him so formally.

— Oh... it's all right. — She politely denies gesturing with her hands. —Mr. Jaehyun, if you want anything, just tell me. — She bends minimally and walks away accompanied by the older's gaze on her.

Jaehyun had already been watching her minimally during the meals she served everyone at their table. At that moment, he wanted to feel how it would be if he was the reason for her smiling like she did when she greeted people in the morning, or what it would be like if she could make her blush just like she did when guests tipped her.

It was at that moment too that he decided to learn more about her. His goal was to have her, it didn't have to be like his best friend, just one night would be enough.

Later on that night, at home, Jiwoo continues to think about Mr. Baek's request, he didn't know who to choose, so he found himself in doubt and only one person could help her.

— Mama, something happened today. — She says as she enters the small kitchen space to pick up the utensils to set the table for dinner. In response, he only received a positive and surprising murmur from the woman, as well as a curious look from his father. — Baek released me from service for the rest of the summer. But, before you fill me up with work, I'm going to have to continue to accompany their family. I only have two conditions to take into account.

— And what would they be? — Kwanghyun, her father, asked curiously.

— While, Baek doesn't want me to work alone since it's four people who do extremely different things during the day, Jung doesn't want me to choose whoever I want excluding Tae. — She pauses to spoon the food served and eat it. — And because of it, I don't know who to choose. So I'm gonna leave it up to you, mama.

— Oh, Why would you do that? — She says almost outraged.

— Because, is you who organize this type of things, I don't know how to choose! Do me this favor, please.

— Ok. — For a while, everyone is silent just having dinner. Yujin was thoughtful and Jiwoo was looking forward to another decision and, just like her daughter, Kwanghyun longed for the answer. — Know that when you gave me this task, you were liable to dislike the choice. And this will be the case, as Sangchul will help you.

Everyone looked wide-eyed, expressing surprise at the woman's choice. The father of the family stopped eating almost immediately when he felt the atmosphere getting tense, he knew what was coming and didn't want to be involved.

— Mom, why would you choose him? So many people for you to choose and you choose him? — Jiwoo was already speaking louder than recommended. She wasn't mad, just disbelieved. — Do you hate me? That's it? Was this your best chance to show that you hate me? — She was talking so fast she could be compared to any rap singer by anyone who heard her. — Have I been a terrible daughter? — dramatically began to throw small punches to her chest while complaining aloud.

— Oh my goodness! Why are you being so dramatic? I raised you to be a mature woman! Why keep avoiding him when you clearly don't feel anything for him anymore? — She answered her daughter at the same high tone and velocity, anyone who passed by would think it was a rap battle. — That's my decision and that's it! Take the opportunity to show him that you don't want anything else, maybe he'll stop bothering you.

Later that night, when she was already in bed, she couldn't fall asleep because of how anxious she was feeling. That caused her to be overthinking about what her mother said, maybe she was right. Jiwoo should take advantage of this opportunity to end everything, but for some unknown reason to the girl, she just could not have the guts to stop everything.

Maybe another person would make her want to finally not have absolutely nothing to do with Sangchul.
