It is Saturday again. Saturday, Saturday, one of the most fun and busy day of the week. On this day, I have the opportunity to play with my siblings and parents. This day too, is the day we clean the house, do laundries, cook, and do other things we didn't have the time to do, during the week. Each and everyone of us always have at least one thing to do.
I want to be a child once more. So that I will be able to sit, eat and do nothing except playing with toys and talking for the whole day. However, in life, humans always grow and growing comes along with responsibilities.
Doing house chores is not a bad thing or something kids shouldn't do in their houses, but doing it everyday is kind of boring. Still, it is part of life and we have to bare it, do it and move on with life.
My sister and I were still in the bathroom talking about how the day is gonna look like, when we heard our mom calling.
"Briana... Grace, what are you people still doing in the restroom. The both of you have work to do" said mom. "On our way" I responded. I went to the kitchen to eat breakfast before doing the chore. I am the only one in my family who eat breakfast early in the morning. I ate my food in a hurry and started my daily activities after eating.
Mother went to sister Briana's room to wake Ethan up. He woke up brush his teeth and went straight outside to be with dad, who was mowing the lawn. Ethan asked dad if he could be of help. Dad told him to sit and watch him mow the lawn so that when he grow up a little bit more, he will be able to do it then, on his own.
I was in the kitchen cleaning the dishes while mom was preparing to cook. After cleaning the dishes, I went to do my laundry and after that, I started wiping the counters and later wiped the couches. Sister Briana, as well was busy sweeping and mopping the floor.
Every Saturday is always busy at my house. Though at the end of the day, we all gather together to play and tell stories. I've learn a lot about my parents life as they were kids because of the story time we have on Saturdays and on Sundays, in the evening at my house. School days are always busy. I either have assignments to do or studying for an exam. It is the same too, for my elder sister. Dad and mom are always busy finishing their work or taking Ethan to his after school programs.
Here comes another evening. I always look forward to our family time. It is through this telling stories and having fun that I have learn a lot if things about my mom, dad, sister, and brother. Without the opportunity to gather together as a family, I would have never known a lot of thing about my parents and siblings. Since, everybody is always busy with work, school, and other personal stuff. The long day suddenly became too short as we gathered as family to play. Time when by fast. I wish time could fly that much, when I am do other activities and freeze when I am with my family, during family time.
Just in a blink of an eye, the today was over. Another day is gone. Making our days here, in this state shorter. As the day passes and the day to relocate draws near, the fear of being in a new place increases.
The time to go to sleep finally came. I was feeling sleepy already but I did not want to walk to my room. Dad look at me and said "No one is going to carry you to your bed when you fall asleep. If you want to sleep in bed tonight, kindly stand up from that seat and walk to your room and sleep in your bed". I stood up with a frown face, say good night to everybody, walk into my room, and get in bed.
