The chirping of birds and howling of animals and whatnot's wake me up from my sleep.
Even in the day, the forest remains dark, though it's not as dark as it was during the night.
After waking up, I feel slightly hungry. I want coffee, sadly I can't have coffee right now.
I jump down from the tree to the ground below me, the ashes of the bodies, still remain, though the major portion of the ashes was presumably swept up by the wind.
Now that it's daytime I can see a lot clearer. I look around myself and start to explore the forest little by little. I needed a source of edible food and drinkable water.
The protein bars and water bottles in my kit aren't gonna last me forever.
After walking with no sense of direction whatsoever, I finally see a road through the forest. It was not natural, but man-made, although It wasn't exactly the peak of human architecture it was without a doubt a man-made road.
Seeing the road makes me happy because it helps me in two ways.
Firstly, seeing the man-made road, confirms that this world holds intelligent life, who are at least on par with humans.
Secondly, there might've been a human settlement nearby, which will solve my food and drink issues.
Curious, I follow the road in front of me, which is seemingly my ticket out of this confusing forest.
After walking for what seems like an hour and a half, I finally reach the edge of the forest. Even though I didn't hide my presence, I didn't encounter anything like the creature I encountered yesterday.
Do those only come out at night? I wonder.
Never mind, I keep on walking, following the road.
Before long, I came in front of a river, the road became a bridge, a stone bridge, something out of the historical photos of the museum.
I started walking across the stone bridge. At the end of the bridge, there was a sign, but I didn't know what it meant.
Anyway, I kept following the road and reached what seemed to be a small human village.
A village beside the sea, must be a fisherman village, huh?
I didn't try to enter the place immediately, didn't want to cause much chaos.
I took shelter behind some big rocks and let out a cluster of AI-controlled NGS's [Nano Geographical Satellite].
These NGS's mapped out the whole village and started to learn their language by observing them. After it learned the language, the data would be sent to my translator module, which would, in turn, help me to understand the culture of these people.
I take out the ITENT from my kit and put it around the place, the ITENT created an illusion that looked almost natural, no one will be able to guess that someone is here.
It would probably take a while before I get the appropriate data for the translator module, so I decided to take a small nap, but my senses are still at an all-time high.
