Legons agreement made me uneasy. My mother stood in Ashes hands fear for me filled her eyes. I understood why my brothers wanted to protect me now. The fact that I could make Legon bleed put a small bit of confidence in me.
He was too overconfident. I would not allow myself to fail and be sold to the black market. I would not allow my brothers to go through the pain again. Most of all, I would not allow them to take away my spirit.
I shot another arrow my fingers shook with the overwhelming fear. He blocked it with his sword cutting my arrow in two. I gritted my teeth sweat dripping down the side of my face.
" How about we just go hand to hand, that bow of yours doesn't seem to be doing you any good". He smirked. Not soon after though his eyes were wide as my foot landed in his gut. My bow was still In my hand.
There is no way in hell I'm letting him trick me into fist fighting. Anger covered his face. I kicked up dust in his eyes and spat. " You little brat!" He screamed throwing his sword at me. I moved my head just slightly. In what almost seemed to me like slow motion the sword went through my shirt, and my breath was knocked out of my lungs.
The rock from the mountain cut my back as I slammed into it. Tears brimmed my eyes in pain, but I forced myself to say strong. He walked up to me.
" I win", His voice made my whole body shake. I shook my head no. Only to meet a confused face from him. I wrapped my legs around his waist and punched him in the nose.
" This is for my mother!" I punched him, " This is for tricking me!" Blood drawled from his lips, " And this is for pinning the back of my shirt against the wall ass whole!" I uppercut his jaw and he spits blood from his mouth holding onto his sword to stand. To my luck, the dummy pulled it out of the rock.
I fell to the ground smirking. " Had enough?" I whispered threateningly. I heard him lowly chuckle. He looked at me with hatred. " I watched you train with my brother! you're a weakling!" I narrowed my eyes.
" Do you really think I would show you my full strength?" I looked at him dumbly. " I spent my whole life climbing trees and being either alone, or with my brothers.
I knew one day I may be able to become an assassin so every day they were gone I trained. " A scream echoed from his lips as he slashed his knife at me. This fight was no longer anywhere near the bet. His new goal was to kill.
I had used all my energy to try to win and now I was completely worn out. He pushed me to the ground and rested the sword on my neck as it started to cut.
" This is what you get! I'm sure your body will sell just fine". He had a crazy look in his eyes. Black dots covered my vision. I was going to pass out in no time.
This is the end. My mind cooed softly in my head. My vision blurred and then all I saw was Legon flying off me, and Ash picking me up.
