Lisa sits across from me looking calm and collected like she didn't just announce her own death.
The past few days hasn't been that smooth, I have watched Lisa struggling to hide the truth of her state of health from her son. She was dying but there was something that could save her.
"Lisa, you know this doesn't have to be a death sentence right, we can actually save you. Why won't you give it a thought at least"
She smiles a very tired smile and meets my worried gaze with a strong one.
"I can't live that life, for the sake of my son Jason and you must promise me that he won't see that side of humanity, ever"
I could hear her but I couldn't understand. why will someone prefer to die even when there's a way out?
I promised Micheal to watch over his family and here I was losing Lisa, failing to convince her to live.
"Micheal lived it Liz, and you loved him"
"I could have loved him more"
I stare at her with wide eyes, what other arguments do I have, none.
