Gu junjie was in the living room and his phone was still beside his ear. However huang zhilan's voice can still be heard by his parents.
The man glanced at his parents before calmly answering, "yours".
Gu junhai and Wang xixi really wanted to take the phone away and check who is it. Their son didn't even want to hint them! Unfilial! Ungrateful son!
Gu junjie looked at them and gave them a silent warning. "You can just deliver the cake over. You have work to do too," he stood up and went to further plaves where his annoying parents couldn't eavesdrop.
Huang zhilan couldn't resist a chuckle. She was glad that he have told his parents that he is taken. She was glad that he kept her on the top of the list. She have finished making the batter and she quickly put the batter in the oven. After confirming the temperature and time was correct, huang zhilan went back to her room to change to her work clothes. Her phone was left on the dining table and when she came down, her brother was holding her phone with disgust.
Gu junjie on the other hand have boarded his car and sat on the back seat lazily. He knew that huang zhilan have left her phone somewhere so he just kept silent however he hearf some faint breathing that completely didn't belong to a woman so his instincts told him that its huang peizhi holding the phone.
"What do you want to say?"
Huang peizhi handsome face fallen. "Nothing. Jus take care of her properly. I don't care if you want to take things further with her but just take the responsibility of your actions. She probably found that staying by your side kept her safe".
Huang zhilan stopped her tracks and approached him slowly. She arched a brow, "why are you so naggy early in the morning?"
Huang peizhi eyelid twitched twice seeing her sister clearly taking gu junjie side even before she know anything. "There's nothing important today so you can laze around. Be home before dinner or your sister-in-law will throw me out as well". He gave her phone back to her and patted her head. He then went to the entrance and boarded his car that have been waiting for a long time already.
Huang zhilan smiled hearing his words and placed the phone beside her ear, asking, "you want to take things further with me?" She sat on a stool and patted her skirt gently. She wasn't hurried when she asked, she was calm but she was clearly teasing him.
Intimacy like kissing and such....he only need to wait for the time. He need to wait until she's fully ready. He need to respect her decisions.
Huang zhilan broke to laughter hearing that. "Don't worry. I'm quite skilled at this area so you just need to be my boyfriend, protecting and shielding me, okay? Other things aren't important".
To their surprise, the two of them actually think the same and both felt that if they have each other at their side, they won't ask for more.
"You are chatting me for almost fifteen minutes already, are you sure the cake is not burnt?" Gu junjie smirked.
Huang zhilan turned and looked at the oven, "after five minutes, it will be fully cooked. Even if it is burnt, I will still force you to eat it anyway," she said with a tone full of confidence.
Gu junjie chuckled. "I have arrived. Do you want to stay over my company? I can't finish the cake all by my own," as he spoke, he alighted from his car and entered the company while chuckling hearing huang zhilan's continous chatters.
"Alright. I will stay over until lunch. I will hang up now, see you later jie," huang zhilan smiled.
"Mmm. See you later," gu junjie hung up and put his phone to his trouser's pocket. He then stopped walking and turned to his assistant, "today, zhi will come over maybe about 20 minutes later. Don't let her come up alone and escort her quickly to my office".
Assistant He, of course, know about his boss's and huang zhilan's relationship so he nodded. He followed his boss to the private elevator and briefed him about his schedule for the day.
Gu junjie just made an 'en' sound and walked out from the elevator. He swiftly entered his office and started his work while Assistant He checked his watch and called huang zhilan.
Huang zhilan on the other hand was on the way to the Gu corporation. She decided to not go to work for today and changed to a striped outwear and a pair of denim jeans. She also matched it with white sneakers and black sotted socks. Her shoulder length hair was left freed and she have a black cap on top of her head. Over all, she looked like a pretty and cute high school girl. To not attract attention, she wore a black mask in advance so that no news will come out of her going to gu junjie company.
Even the chauffeur was surprised seeing the young miss's appearance. He really have to praise her talent for disguising herself. Not only she can change her outer appearance, even her aura changed as well. The elegant and true heiress aura around her changed ultimately to an innocent and full of curiosity girl like.
