Some time later, the group, along with the children they had saved, were quietly riding in a couple of plain looking carriages.
Kasuyi and the healing mage had opted to stay with the children. Out of all of the participants of the mission, they were the most approachable, and it seemed Kasuyi had some natural halo that made people let down their guards around him.
Within an hour, Kasuyi had already coaxed the youngest child into sleeping in his arms, while the other children were a little more receptive to him. The only one who still retained his wariness was the oldest of te group who had asked why the children should trust Kasuyi's group, back in the warehouse.
The boy eyed Kasuyi warily from his position in the corner of the carriage. He was currently sitting on the floor, while laying his head back against the soft cushion of the seat behind him. The younger children were sleeping on the seat.
