"What...?" Kasuyi stared at the two adventurers before him. Both of them were wrapped up tightly in bandages. To his left, an unconscious blond male was resting, his breath coming out in a tight wheeze. To his right, a lean, but athletic male was sitting up. He looked sadly at Kasuyi. He really felt for the boy, but there was little he could do. It was already too late.
Kai staggered backwards, barely catching himself by the rail of the hospital bed the speaking man was laying on. He could not believe his ears. It couldn't be true. His parents had to be alive.
"I'm sorry, Kasuyi. We failed to protect your parents." The man's words echoed through his mind. He was having difficulty processing the words of the man. His parents had to be alive.
