"This will be our last mission for a while. Don't worry, kiddo, we'll be back soon." Kasuyi's father, Jonathan, ruffled his dark hair and shot him a smile. "Your aunt will look after you."
"Be good, Kasuyi. Your dad and I won't be long. Maybe a week or two. When we come back, we will treat you to something good." His mother, Elizabeth, chipped in, her cheery voice filled with warmth for her only child.
"I'll be good. You guys be safe." Little Kasuyi, only six at the time hugged his parents and waved them goodbye as they walked down the path that led away from their home on the outskirts of town. He watched as they disappeared down the hill before retreating into their small cabin.
