Kasuyi spent the rest of the night with Nedra. He had no other place to be but in the arms of his beloved wife.
When he awakened from his much needed rest, it was to the feeling of Nedra running her small fingers through his head of silky black hair.
"Have you rested enough?" Her voice was soft and calming as she inquired about his state of mind. He had been pretty out of it the prior night. His indomitable will had been shaken, ever so slightly, by the emergence of a genius who appeared to be even better than him. A genius monster that he had created with his own two hands. It had nearly broken him down, making him wonder if it was all okay. After all, the last three geniuses he had grown had all backstabbed him. It seemed that that wound was still open after all.
