'Steady breaths...' Erwin gulped down the lump of nervousness that had formed in his throat as he stared down the massive lizard that, like him, had also stopped to take stock of its opponent. It hissed lowly as he flexed the fingers that held the hilt of his sword.
The light rapier in his hands was covered in a bright blue glow as he infused it with the concentrated fire mana that ran through his mana veins. He could feel the tense showdown coming to a climax as the muscles in his calves bunched up, preparing themselves to release explosive power in his next movement.
"HUP!" Erwin grunted as he rushed forward, thrusting his weapon in a straight line. He had left his sword-staff back at the camp, choosing this weapon instead because of its piercing capabilities. It would be his best weapon against the hardy lizards.
The lizard clashed head-on against Erwin's weapon, confident that it could defend against the attack.
