[ALANOR]
As they all came to terms with what had happened, Criselda couldn't help but feel her heart clench at the sight before her.
She was conflicted for the first time and she didn't know what to do. On one hand, was the love of her life, slowly recuperating and looking hurt as hell, while on the other, was the son she had adopted, the kid who would forever blame himself for tonight.
She wanted to make him feel better, but she knew he would always lie about his emotions, because somehow, Alanor felt like Heide's current state was more important than how he was feeling.
Even then, Criselda decided to take a chance on her son.
"Alanor, how are you feeling now, son. Don't lie to me," Criseda said, though she had a feeling he would try and craft a little beautiful lie to make her feel better. That wasn't what she wanted for him, but it wasn't like there were too many options.
