"Are you sure about that?" Alanor challenged Unar, and Criselda looked at her son. She could tell that this was already a bad idea. Coming here with the kid locked off was something she shouldn't have let happen.
Granted it had kept him from mistaking his mission with his feelings, but so much would go wrong. So much was bound to head sideways and Alanor was enjoying it, which was another glaring red flag at them.
"Leave, while I still have the patience," Unar said and Alanor looked at the young prince, standing at the gates of the Udrad palace like it was the home he wanted. It was almost like Unar was hoping for a bargain.
It was something that made him boil with anger and Alanor wanted to lash out. But maybe this wasn't the time yet. Maybe they needed to go slow on each other but dan, with the warriors watching the two of them, confused as fuck.
