[ALANOR]
"Oh, child. What happened to you?" Criselda finally let out as she cupped her son's face, like she wanted to know whether he was in pain and had been attacked, or if he was nursing broken bones.
Instinctively, she cast a light spell so that they wouldn't have to use their supersites. Of course warlocks didn't have that, or even vampires, but they all needed some warmth in their lives.
"Nothing mother, I'm sorry," Alanor said to Criselda before he turned to his friends who had been watching them embrace each other.
"I'm sorry I took too long to come. I really am," Alanor said as he waited for them to reprimand or curse at him.
He knew that it had to have been serious if Heide had volunteered to trigger the barrier that would without a doubt kill him if Alanor hadn't shown up on time. Alanor was sorry, he wanted to tell them till kingdom come and he would, if they let him.
