"Reject him, Unar. You can't be mated to the beast of the midlands. Reject him, so we can take him down, son. Only you can bring down the beats of the midlands," Edison insisted, at the risk of sounding like a broken record but that clearly didn't matter to him at the moment.
Unar glared at his father, the disbelief clear on his face. Was there something wrong with Edison? Because clearly the lycan king was biased and wasn't thinking right.
Hadn't he seen how depressed his son had gotten over the years at every annual mating ceremony, just because he couldn't have a mate? Maybe Edison was trying to do what was right for his son, but how was suggesting a rejection to his only child supposed to make Unar feel?
"You must be out of your mind," Unar growled out angrily, shocking everyone in the room. He looked at his father, wondering what the hell Edison was thinking that he would give up his mate just like that.
