Clopping their way down the town streets, Saiba on Uma and the rest in the wagon, Saiba asks,
"Hey, Lily! Where are we going now?"
Lily responds with her own question,
"Where do you want to go, Hero?"
Saiba answers,
"To the Underworld, right? Is there somewhere else we need to go?"
Lily thinks before replying,
"Hm... Well, we could always go there..."
Saiba announces,
"There..? Sure! I trust you! Lead the way!"
Lily points out a large octagonal building in the distance, barely peeking over the buildings. While travelling Saiba asks,
"Lazaro, what happened to your horse?"
Lazaro replies,
"Oh, Ripley? I actually stole him from a house back in a town me and my boys went through. I felt kinda bad, so I donated him to a nearby stable."
Saiba thinks,
"Oh yeah, I forgot he was a bandit..."
Changing the subject, Saiba asks,
"Anyways, Lily, where are we right now?"
A little disappointed, Lily answers,
"Huh? You can't tell!? We're in the capital right now, of course!"
Lazaro laughs at Saiba while teasing,
"This is the legendary hero? If he's legendary, I must be godly!"
Saiba mutters,
"I'm not even from this world, though..."
Finally, they arrive at the octagonal building. Saiba gets a better view of it as he scans the exterior. The building is constructed with well-kept, gray stone bricks.
Coming out of four of the eight sides, cube-shaped buildings stand connected to the main area via brick hallways. In front, three gold statues stand firm.
On the right, there is a statue of a man standing straight, wearing large, protective armor, and resting his hands on a shield that is using the ground as support.
On the left, there is a statue of a woman with her knees bent in a low pose, wearing a tattered cloak, and holding two daggers, one in each hand.
Lastly, in the middle, there is a statue of a man with flowing hair, a wide smile, some armor, and a greatsword held up high in the air.
There is a clean, stone path that contrasts the dirt road they were previously on.
Parking Uma and the wagon outside, Saiba, Lily, and Lazaro head on inside.
Inside, the building is bustling with people. [Adventurers] of all shapes and sizes are interacting with one another. Their sounds fill the room as Saiba is amazed.
From above, the sunlight shines through the glass ceiling, completely illuminating the interior. In the middle, a circular desk sits with multiple well-dressed receptionists attending to some [Adventurers].
Overpowering the sounds of chatter, there is the occasional announcement calling certain names, followed by numbers.
Saiba asks,
"Lily... What is this place?"
Lily, very proud, answers,
"This is the Haven! The most important place for all [Adventurers]! You can get lots of things done here! You can buy items, sell items, trade items, accept missions, get ranked, get classed, form parties, show off your skills, and so much more!"
Saiba just looks around in awe. He notices something and mumbles,
"Accept missions? Get ranked? Get classed?"
Lily replies,
"Oh, I guess if you didn't know about this place, you wouldn't know about those things either..."
She begins explaining,
"First, accepting missions! You already started with a mission, so you never had to go through this, but [Adventurers] make a living off of accepting missions and getting paid. You would usually start off with easier ones and move up as you get stronger. The missions are ranked the same way [Adventurers] are, so it's easy to find out what ones are good for you."
Saiba thinks,
"Missions, huh? I guess if I need more money, I could do one of those..."
She continues,
"Moving on, getting ranked! As you know, we have something called the 'Top 10 Adventurers'. Of course, those aren't the only [Adventurers] that are ranked. The other ones aren't ranked in order though. When you get ranked, you get a Star Rating from 1-10, with 1 being the weakest and 10 being the strongest. The 'Top 10' are the exception though. They are all rated above 10. You get ranked with a test that's based on a combination of your [Physical Strength] and [Magical Strength]."
Saiba mutters,
"I'm definitely going to be above 10 Stars..!"
Finishing up, Lily adds,
"Lastly, there's getting classed. In addition to the ranking system, there's another way to show off what kind of [Adventurer] you are. When it comes to getting classed, there are three [Main Classes] and five [Sub-Classes] in each. The three big ones are [Attack], [Defense], and [Speed]. Just like your [Stats]. For the [Sub-Classes], they are [Berserker], [Mage], [Ranger], [Summoner], and [Warrior] for [Attack]. [Defense] has [Heavy], [Knight], [Monk], [Paladin], and [Tank]. Finally, [Assassin], [Rogue], [Scout], [Swashbuckler], and [Trickster] for [Speed]. You get classed based on your [Fighting-Style] and [Stats]."
Saiba rubs his chin while thinking,
"I didn't know this whole [Adventurer] thing was so well thought-out. That's the King for you, I guess."
He asks,
"So, Lily... What's your [Rank] and [Class]?"
She answers,
"I'm an [8 Star] [Scout]."
Saiba replies,
"[8 Star], huh?d ns a [Scout]? Those guys are good at thinking and making decisions, right? That doesn't sound like you!"
Annoyed, Lily shouts,
"I'm a real [Scout]!"
Saiba looks at her with a doubting glare. She adds,
"Fine! I'll show you next time we fight a monster!"
Saiba suggests,
"Alright, well I should get ranked and classed too, right? If I'm a legendary hero, I have to do it!"
He begins marching away before stopping and asking,
"Hey, Lazaro? Did you already get this stuff done?"
Lazaro answers,
"Yeah, but that was a pretty long time ago, so I was thinking that I should get it re-done!"
Saiba gestures him over as the two walk towards the main desk, ready to get ranked and classed.
