Saiba stomps towards the exit, but Isabelle stops him. She asks,
"What do you plan on doing?"
Saiba answers,
"I'm gonna teach them a lesson..."
He grins and mumbles,
"With my fists!"
Isabelle replies,
"You can't do that again! You already failed the first time! But don't worry, I already have an idea, Mr. Hero!"
She walks over to Saiba and whispers something in his ear.
The school bell rings as the setting changes to the classroom of Class 1-B. Isabelle goes through the attendance as she calls out,
"Mr. He- I mean, Okumura! Okumura, Saiba!"
Saiba sits in his seat, feet on the desk, arms crossed, and wearing a school uniform, as he replies,
"H-Here..."
He thinks,
"This was her plan?.. I thought I didn't have to go to school anymore... I'm a hero in a different world after all... I don't really remember what school was like anyways... I did drop out in middle-school... I hope it's better than back in Japan..."
The students of Class 1-B begin whispering and gossiping things like,
"I told you he wasn't a hero! He's just some wannabe!"
"He's probably just some transfer student that wanted to make a good impression..."
"There's no way a hero would be beat that easily by our Gordie!"
Saiba glances over at Gordie, the beast-like student, as Gordie stares menacingly back.
Class finally starts as Isabelle begins giving lectures on topics like math, science, and literature. As expected, the students don't listen and instead just fool-around, talking and playing. Despite this, Isabelle continues to power through her speeches.
Saiba thinks,
"She really has it rough, doesn't she... I feel bad for her... That's just more reason to make these kids actually listen!"
Suddenly, Isabelle announces,
"That'll be it for the in-class lessons today! Everyone get in a single-file line and we'll head to the training grounds!"
Surprisingly, the students actually listen this time and line up against the wall outside of the room. Saiba just follows along, confused about what's happening. Isabelle begins walking as the students all follow her.
They end up at a wall with two doors. One is labelled, 'Boys' and the other is labelled, 'Girls'. Isabelle tiptoes over to Saiba and whispers,
"Your stuff should be there already. It's in a locker with your name on it."
Saiba nods, still confused, as he walks through the entrance labelled, 'Boys'. He finds his locker and creaks it open.
Inside, his armor and sword are hung up on hooks. He takes his gear and suits up, ready for combat. He walks back out the room, where the students have gathered once again.
The rest of Class 1-B have also geared up with various sets of armor and weapons. They come in sorts of shapes and sizes.
Like before, they get into a single-file line as Isabelle now leads them out of the building and into a wide, grassy field. Surrounding the field, there is a tall, iron fence, stopping any movement, in or out. Lastly, in the middle, there is a circle drawn out with a white pigment.
Isabelle instructs,
"I'll be calling you in pairs! When I do, just stand in the circle across from each other like usual! I'll tell you when you can-!"
She gets cut off as a student shouts,
"Hurry it up already, lady!"
Isabelle lets out a forced smile. Still clueless, Saiba asks one of the students,
"What's going on?"
He answers,
"Oh yeah, you're still new. Just wait and see!"
Saiba leans against the fence as the students stand upright, very excited. Isabelle calls out,
"Avarel! Pius!"
Two students walk over to the circle. One is wearing light, chainmail armor and holding a sabre, while the other is wearing medium, steel armor and holding a spear. They get into fighting stances as Isabelle shouts,
"Start!"
The two begin duking it out, clashing weapons as sounds of colliding metal and cheers fill the air. Saiba thinks,
"This is what they were so excited about? I guess fighting is pretty fun... Wait. This is my chance! I can finally show off what I'm really made of!"
Saiba now joins the students, awaiting his turn. A few duels go by before Isabelle now calls out,
"Robbie! Gram!"
Two students walk out and stand at the circle. Robbie, boisterously walks out, wearing gleaming gold armor with a similarly reflective greatsword resting on his shoulder.
On the other hand, Gram looks like he is about to pee his pants as he waddles out, wearing brittle, leather armor and gripping a frail, bronze dagger with both hands.
Isabelle announces,
"Start!"
The duel begins with Robbie taunting Gram and shouts,
"You don't stand a chance, little Grammie! You don't have the skills to land a hit on me, not to mention, your little toy won't do any damage even IF you hit me!"
Gram mumbles,
"D-Don't make fun of my weapon! This was a gift from my mother!"
Robbie replies,
"What are you gonna do? Cry to your mommy? Once I break that garbage again?"
Seeing this, Saiba thinks to himself,
"I really don't like this kid. He reminds me of Aldrich and I don't like that."
Gram makes the first move as he thrust his dagger towards Robbie. It collides with his armor as the weapon shatters and its pieces fall to the ground.
However, it does manage to leave a minor dent where it hit. Robbie sees this and becomes enraged. He shouts,
"What do you think you're doing!? How dare you dent my armor!? I could buy a hundred of your toys with one of these! You're gonna pay for this!"
Gram cowers in fear as Robbie lets out a battle cry. With a look of bloodlust, Robbie lifts greatsword in the air as he brings it down, directly on Gram.
