Chapter 1 - Prologue:

Would you wish for a world where Enigmas existed? Items that allowed for the progression of humanity to multiply manyfold, ranging from weapons of mass destruction and inexplicably efficient farming tools? Well... you may be in for one. These are the thoughts that crossed the mind of the main character. Thinking back to how this all began, he couldn't help but attempt to recall everything from the beginning, savoring and redigesting all his experiences.

Ah how the years have grown on me, he thought yet again. It has been decades since I was introduced, and now I'm here. Why didn't things end back there? How could I have possibly expected for the level of influence to be so large, such a plan in motion. Oh, we are all pawns being played by fate. Would it be best for me to join? I wish to stand for humanity but at this point... we could be eradicated with a glance. There... there is no harm, I guess. I've already fulfilled my goal in life so even if I am to die, it'd be with no regrets.

...

Walking towards the stainless steel fridge, a hungry stomach churned. The fridge had just been cleaned, a dirty cloth spread out in a hamper, Pledge left on a shelf. The satisfaction gained from such a look, one that gleamed with no marks, was great. Only would one know that such a level of satisfaction would be short lived.

The sound of magnets suddenly parting from the unit opened the way for food and beverages to be selected, a yearning to be quietly found within the eyes of the person. Inside sat a plethora of consumables, most of them having just been bought earlier that day. A final selection began. Eyes scanned across the consumables, items ranging from meat to seltzer could be seen. Naturally, he would skip over cheese, a dislike for them having been long, treating it like the bane of a chronic condition he would have if such was to be imagined.

Eyes locked onto fried rice and a pepsi, swiftly removing the obstacles. Being agile, he swung around the center island and reached for the cabinet where bowls and plates were contained. Opening the cabinet carefully to prevent the wood from hitting another of its kind, a ceramic bowl was picked with no mercy, being the one sore branch that stuck out. Before 20 seconds were up, the bowl had been filled with rice, nearly to the brim and patted down evenly. A microwave right behind the person swung open, the person not bothering to look back. He knew the home like the back of his hand, having lived there for 2 years.

Pivoting with both his feet, the bowl was lightly placed inside the microwave, the time being set to 80 seconds, a prime time for him. The time had been ticking as he raced to the top of the steps to grab his Chromebook. Often, several tabs of light novels or manhua (chinese comics) could be found. With nimble fingers, the password was nimbely entered and the reading began as he walked down the stairs.

Sliding onto a stool, the time hit 28 seconds. Frantically grabbing a fork from a drawer, he felt completely prepared. Beep. Beep. Be-. Before the 3rd beep could finish, the door flew open.

"Ah yes, I forgot to place a microwave top over the bowl." He sighed, a mid-low tone. If another could describe the looks of this person, it would be tall and slender, but not without a feeling of intimidation or strength.

The hot bowl was quickly placed on the center island, later being scooched over towards the stool where he would be seated. Music was turned on, headphones plugged into both the computer and his ears. Now, he could finally eat.

Thinking about what had been done prior to this meal, it was quite tiring. It was a Friday, December the 11th, 2022 to be exact. Being 15, he went to a highschool, being in his Sophomore year. Chemistry finals were taken today, something he considered exhausting but easy.

A knack for chemistry, he could say…. When home, the time of 3 hours before gym would begin counting down, a sense of urgency to do what he so wished formed within his mind. Although the time had already passed and it was currently 9:50 pm, the tense feeling that a hardship would strike the next day could still be felt. Not even the fact that sparring would take place tomorrow held the same pressure and level of worriness.

Though a mere 20 minutes passed by, he was already in bed. His father wouldn't let him stay up, and as he fell asleep, all he could do was ponder, ponder about the life of fantasy. One where those who exceeded in life possessed immeasurable power, charisma and nobility.

The dreams of being a large Youtuber, I wonder if such a thing can be reached by an average person such as I. The thoughts he carried held a great passion while one may not realize the speed at which it would fade. A wish for strength. A wish for charm. A wish for control. If one so wished, they shall get.
