Leta's bond with Theseus was yet to be repaired. Leta wanted to see whether Dumbledore knew about the repairing of Newt's bond with her.
Leta hurried to his office, eager to share the information. The phoenix statue called out to her, "Password?"
"Acid pops," she replied.
"Correct. You may enter."
She skipped up the stairs with glee and cried out with excitement, "Look! Dumbledore! Our bond has been repaired!"
He turned around in his chair, equally impressed. "I see. Let's check out the camera."
He whisked his wand out and a remote appeared out of thin air. He clicked the button to find the scenario from earlier on playing on full screen.
After a few minutes of footage, Dumbledore remarked, "You nearly repeated history!"
"I know. I know. Keep watching!" she urged him.
He saw the bond between the two grow exponentially as Newt sketched and Leta helped.
"One thing is clear. Your bond is well on track! Absolutely marvellous work Leta! I'm so proud!"
"Thanks so much! But what about Theseus?" she questioned him.
"On that note, I honestly don't know!" he mused.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T KNOW?" she cried with confusion and exasperation.
"You told me to 'make small talk and then build up to true potential'!" Leta replied, imitating Dumbledore's words from their last meeting.
"Well, as you should most certainly know, Theseus is sassy, grouchy, monotonous and all the rest. That makes it challenging. He'll most likely refuse your generosity and put you back in square 1." he commented.
"Gee. You're acting like Newt now. Is that what you really think?"
"Maybe. Or maybe not. I could be testing your emotional strength!" he teased, implying that he was testing her emotional strength and maturity.
"Ok. I get it. You are one smart cookie!" she remarked. "I'll just go do my own thing then!" she said, determined to right what was wrong.
"Attagirl Leta!" Dumbledore exclaimed. "You cracked the code."
She sprinted out of the room and slid down the railing.
"I'm fully awakened now!" she thought boldly.
