Amelie can hear a loud siren ringing in her ears, playing a symphony inside her head. The officer had begun driving back to the Police Station, speeding as if he was in a hurry. "Slow down there, Eric!! You'll hit a deer at the speed you're driving" The officer's partner exclaimed.
The police had a tired look, almost like he was in a daze. "...Eric, do you want me to drive instead? You seem to be going the wrong-" Suddenly, the partner's statement was interrupted by the officer swerving off the road, crashing into a cornfield and running over a scarecrow in the process.
"...WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ERIC!!!" The Partner watched as smoke was rising from the car engine, and amidst the smoke rising into the starry sky, he saw a huge shining orb that stood out from the rest of the stars. "...What the hell?" The Partner muttered, stepping out of the vehicle to get a closer look, "...What kinda Star is..." his thoughts slowly drifted off as he was entranced by the Star, and he slowly began to walk towards the direction of it, almost like a mindless drone following a signal.
The officer did the same, stepping out of his vehicle and walking towards the direction of the Star, he walked like a zombie.
Amelie's eyes were fixated on the Star, but as her hand touched the car door, the sudden rough feeling snapped her out of it. She looked down at her hands, checking to see if she still had her own thoughts, her own humanity. Amelie slowly stepped out of the car, watching the two police officers walking in the distance.
Amelie knee the best course of action was to walk away, but she grew curious, and she began to follow the two men. She knew to avoid looking at the star, or whatever the glowing orb is, she's seen firsthand what it has done to people, and what it has done to her.
Minutes turns to hours, Amelie and the two officers walked at a slow pace, still curious about where they were headed, the orb in the sky grew ever closer, until eventually the two officers stopped in a large clearing. Amelie was confused, why did they wander all this way, only to stop at some seemingly random spot?
Amelie was not sure how close they were to the orb, but as she slowly approached the two officers, her eyes widened in shock. Standing in front of the two officers were two other people, and in front of them another pair. They stood in a perfect line, their body shape perfectly aligning with the person behind this which is just...unnatural. Amelie could see hundreds, even thousands of people standing in two straight lines.
Amelie slowly turned her head to find hundreds of other people slowly walking towards the line, standing behind one another with the same blank expression. "...What's happening?" Amelie asked herself, suddenly a huge bright light shined down on everyone, Amelie couldn't help but look up only to find the white orb shining right above them, it was closer than it had ever been, and as she stared into the light, two long raw-boned arms reached out towards her, and as its hands wrapped around her elbow, she was slowly lifted off the ground and brought closer towards the light, and darkness became the last thing she ever saw...
