"Mom thought we were going to have a girl so she only thought of girl names and one of the options was Tammy, that's why when they found out I was a guy they couldn't think of anything so they changed to a to an o and called me Tommy. I have a scar on my right shin from when my dad thought I was ready to handle a glass cup when I was like 5 or 6 and I dropped it so I got down to pick up the pieces but ended up putting my leg right on a piece of the broken glass and now I have a smile shaped scar on my leg."
"Really? That doesn't seem to fit. The origin of Tommy the use for the word was a replacement for the word 'twin'. Tammy was another word for twin but it also meant palm tree. You seem neither like a twin nor a palm tree."
"Huh maybe she was hoping even if I was a guy I'd had a twin sister or maybe she was hoping I'd have long legs like trunks of palm trees. Which in that case it fits. So what does Jordan mean?"
"The name Jordan means to descend or to flow down. Dad named me in hopes of having me think of people as equals not as me being higher than and to help people who have less than me when I can but I guess the name backfired. I fell but I fell too far to be able to help anyone else."
"What do you mean 'the name backfired'?"
"In a few different cultures people believe that a name is based on the person or the person conforms to the meaning of the name. Some people believe to be so true that they say names are spells to bind you to something. If my name means to descend for all the spells may be worth I'll always be less than others because I'm always going down to help but never able to come back up."
"If you can't get up on your own I'll help you up. I don't have a twin so maybe now I can take care of you like you're a part of my family."
"I mean you'd have to join the brotherhood which means you have to be Brady approved."
"How does one become Brady approved?"
"I don't know. Brady introduced me to Colby so I never got to see how it works."
"Has he since been un…brotherhooded?"
"I don't know if unbrotherhooded is the technical term but I don't know. There's a large part of both Brady and I hoping he'll come back but I don't know if I could just forgive him like that. Like I get that he was trying to help you but if he told us maybe we could have helped him. Maybe if there were 4 of us involved we might have been able to figure out a way to get you out without having him going in. And you're not actually out either so what he did was pointless. But the thing I hate the most was that he didn't trust us enough to tell us. I know I for one would have helped him help you but apparently he thought I was going to hold him back."
