"Thanks grandpa you've been a big help already." Charlie took the pouch and hid it in his jacket.
"Charlie, are you done? We need to find James not to mention Edmond and Cayden."
"Fine I'll be right there." He looks at his grandfather, "Well I know where to find you. And I will come visit, so expect a customer right before closing tomorrow night." He turned and walked away.
The grandfather smiled and watched his grandson walk away when he heard Hanna call out. "What should I call you, sir?"
He laughed a bit, "I'm Albert."
Hanna nodded as she and Charlie turned to walk away and disappear into the crowd. Albert smiled with sad eyes.
"I can't believe it. He's still alive." Charlie began to whisper under his breath but Hanna caught the words.
"Wait, do you know that man?"
"That is my grandfather, Albert Herrison. Everyone thought he died, but he jumped into the well after making his wish." Hanna was shocked Albert Herrison had supposedly died 3 years ago at age 70. This man looked no older than mid 50's.
"Are you okay?"
"As okay as can be for witnessing the only person who has ever cared about me, who supposedly died, now be alive in front of me and perfectly well. I should have jumped in after him that year."
"Hey, you couldn't have known what he said was real."
"But somehow I did. I did, I believed what he said but I was scared to find out it was real."
Hanna wrapped her arm around Charlie's shoulder and they continued silently down the street not knowing what to say to one another. Somewhere along the streets, a familiar voice snapped then back to their new reality. A voice asking if anyone had seen either of the first two boys to arrive in this place. It was James' voice, they both broke out in a run to catch up with him.
