Reselda was in deep sleep when she heard the voice of Daphne.
"Heyy Reselda, Dr. Ethan Everhart has come to meet you. Wake up .", She could hear her shout but was too lazy and sleepy to answer.
"Get up Reselda, Dr. Ethan is waiting in the living room" She said again, slightly aggrieved but still Reselda was sleeping like a log.
" Uggggghhhhhh.... Earth to Reselda get up or I'll drench you with ice water .", She said angrily at which she jumped up.
"Mannnn... Chill .... I'm up .'', Reselda said, getting up, she looked up to see an angry Daphne, her arms folded with an angry look on.
"I'm sorry. I was just worn out yesterday so I didn't wanna get up .'', She said stretching her arms
'' It's fine. You go, Ethan is waiting for you in the living room.", Daphne said, being a little sad.
And Reselda knew that it wasn't just because of her getting late. It was something else.
" Okay I'll brush first then go ", She said thinking that it wasn't the right time to ask about it.
"Hmm okay." She said being a little lost.
After brushing her teeth, Reselda headed towards the living room.
"Good morning, Ethan. I'm sorry to keep you waiting .", She greeted.
"Good morning, Reselda. And it's absolutely fine, after all it's your day off today ", he said with his standard bright smile.
"So what brought you here?", Reselda asked while getting seated.
"Well, I had two things to inform.", He said
"Oh okay. I'm all ears.", She said, being a little serious.
"One is that I am organizing a party at my place for my and your aunt's 35th anniversary. So you will have to come , your aunt said that if you do not come this time she will not cut the cake.", He said
And Reselda started laughing.
Ethan is very scared of his wife, though they love each other dearly and are made for each other, they fight like kids. Raylen their son doesn't live here, he lives in Amsterdam for their family business. The Everhart family is a big name, Ethan always had wanted to be a doctor so he had let his wife handle the business and his wife handed it over to their son.
"Reselda, So I was asking. You will be coming right!!!!!", He asked with all his hopes high.
"Ohhhh yess...yesss. I'll be there.", She said, confirming.

"What is the second thing?",She asked.
"Ohhh second is to wear a color coded dress with ours, as in the Everhart family.", He said casually.
Reselda was looking at him in a daze.
Thinking, how he could say such a big thing, this casually.
"You must be thinking how could I say such a big thing with a casual attitude, right?", He asked, meeting her eyes.
She nodded.
"Because each of us consider you as our own family. From the time I've been your mentor during your college's mid semester .", He said, smiling. Ethan has always been very proud of Reselda.
"Sir, you too have always given me the fatherly warmth and love that I've always had urged for throughout my life." She confessed.
"So should I consider it as an Yes??" He asked to get assured
She nodded as a yes too overwhelmed to be able to speak.
"Okay then I'll meet you at my place ." He said, smiling.
" Yep.", She said giggling at his expression.
After Ethan leaves ....
" Daphne, what's wrong with you, is everything alright???", She asked Daphne, being concerned.
"Yea I'm fine it's just that mom and dad are bothering me again to join their company.", She said, frowning.
Her parents had the country's largest clothing company. Her parents wanted her to join their company as their head designer, but her dream is to stand up on her own feets and make her own brand.
"What did you tell them?", Reselda asked.
"I tried to convince them but they didn't buy my words.", She said, sighing.
"What did your brother say? Did you talk to him about it", She asked.
Actually in her family, her brother is the only one who understands her and her dreams
"Nah I haven't yet ... He's gonna come here to attend a party I'm thinking of meeting him there.", She said.
"Tomorrow!!!!!", Reselda exclaimed,shocked.
"Yea... Tomorrow, why? what's tomorrow?", She asked .
"Tomorrow is Ethan and his wife's anniversary and they have invited me there. So I'll be gone there.", She said
"Ohhhhh so you wanted me to be there with you, right?", She asked, even though she knew her answer.
"Yep, you know right... " She cut her off
"That you get super conscious in crowds.", She said
" Yea. ...", Reselda said scratching the back of her head.
"Chill Sweety first I'll get you ready then meet Daniel and come back in a jiffy, alright!!", She said
" Uhhhhh", she said unsure.
"Rezzz..... Ethan treats you like his own daughter and I'm sure he and his whole family would not let a scratch come to you so stay calm and confident.", She said.
Reselda bobbed her head as a yes
" By the way I heard Ethan saying something colour coordinated dress , what's that bout?", Daphne asked.
"Ohhh He and Aunt want me to wear color coded dresses as theirs.", She said .
" Ohhhkayyy and what colour is it ?", She asked
"It's emerald green, their family colour.", Reselda said.
"Wowwww it's such an elegant colour!!! I'm more excited to choose a dress for you.", She said excitedly.
"Well.... I anyways was gonna tell you to find one for me .", Reselda said winking at her
"Okay then I'll choose your dress and all your accessories and all of 'em will be a surprise for you till tomorrow.", She said winking back at her
"Yea okay, I trust you.", Reselda said as she genuinely did. Daphne has a wonderful choice.
Next day...
"Heyyyy Daphne, where are you, I'm getting late and I have nothing to wear.", Reselda said while almost having a panic attack.
"Chillllllll Reselda, I'm getting your shoes, and I'll be back in 10 minutes and get you ready in an hour, so chill.", She said
"Fineeeee..", Reselda said and hung up on the call
After almost 15 minutes Daphne enters with 4 bags.
"Come on Ms. Reselda, let's get you ready.", She said, pushing her inside her room .
"Did you take a shower?", She asked
"Yes Daphne, I have.", Reselda replied
"Kay then....take this and go wear it.", She said, giving me a beautiful emerald green off shoulder gown.
She wore it and came out ...
"Wowwwwww!!!!!!!! You look pretty already.", Daphne said with dazzled eyes
"But you need a little makeup to go with the look.", She said and Reselda smiled at her excitement, though she did not like wearing such heavy clothes but the smile on her face made her love the dress even more and it was all worth it .
She did a dewy makeup on her face
Which was simple and not very heavy.
"Next comes your hair... My favourite. I swear Reselda, I love playing with your hair.", She said
"Daphne, tell me something that I don't know .", She said with a sigh.
Daphne has always enjoyed playing with her hair, it's basically her favourite pastime.
She did her signature look that she had created on one such day while playing with her hair. It was a beautiful updo held together with floral pins.
"Nowww wear these heels and hold this clutch then stand in front of the mirror , I wanna take plenty of pictures.", Daphne commanded.
"Okayyy you are the master .", Reselda said and started to wear the heels .
It was a pair of beige colored leather polished pair of heels which was going perfectly with the emerald colour.
The clutch was even more beautiful.
It was a floral designed Rose gold clutch
"Okayyy I'm done.", She said while standing in front of the mirror
" You look pretty but something's missing .....
Ohhhhh right the set I brought with me .", She said and ran towards my room
While Reselda was waiting.....
"Here.... Reselda close your eyes.", She said and Reselda obliged without arguing .
" Now open "She said and saw herself in the mirror. And kept on looking .
"Heyyy!!!! Are you fine ??", She asked worriedly.
Reselda had completely blanked out for a moment
" Yes I'm fine. It's just that this is really pretty .", She said pointing at the pendant and the earrings she just put on her.
"Well I meant to give them on your birthday but it was much needed, today." She said while Reselda hugged her whispering a thank you.
Then they clicked some pics and Reselda left for Ethan's place.
She reached there within 20 minutes and called him .
"Heyy Ethan, I'm in the taxi and will be there in 5 mins.", She informed me.
"Ohhhh thank god you are coming .... I'll ask Raylen to bring you in alright .", He said
"Uhhhhh noooo it's fine, really I'll come on my own .", She said but he just as always, never listens.
She stepped out of the taxi and gave the driver his fare .
There were some men and women staring at her which was making her a little uneasy, when a hand was put on her shoulder at which she jumped a little
" Holly Hera!!", She said, jumping and looking around.
"Heyyyyy calm down, it's me, Raylen.", Brother Raylen said and she calmed down a little .
"Why do you always come from the back???? I remember that even the last time you had come this way.", She said while catching her breath.
"Well you may consider it as my signature way of approaching.", He said winking
And she rolled my eyes at him
"Finneeeee let's get in now or dad is going to beat me definitely.", He said chuckling making her follow the same .
While we were getting in, all eyes fell on us, mainly me .
"Hey don't worry, stay calm, they are staring at you because you are wearing colour coded dress with ours and also because you are walking in with me looking absolutely ravishing.", He whispered
"I know. And had kind of expected it.", She replied. Reselda already knew that when she'd enter the hall people would be gawking at her which was the reason why she had asked Ethan not to send Raylen.
They approached Ethan and Marriese, his wife .
"Ohhh Reselda!!!! You finally arrived, I was almost going to retreat from this party.", She said walking closer to her with a big smile and open arms, towards which she automatically moved and hugged her. Hugging her has always been so different, it gives such a warm motherly feeling which she gets from nowhere else.
"It's good you didn't or I wouldn't have had the chance to meet you today. And also Happy 35th Anniversary.", She said .
"Thank you sweetie.", The couple said together, it looked sooo cute .
"By the way Reselda, you are looking like a show stopper , ohhh even better, a Princess.", Marriese said .
"Nahhh you look like the queen , the best of all .", She said and then they both started laughing at their exaggerations.
" No , seriously Reselda, today all eyes are on you my dear .", She said .
"Thank you Marriese.", She said smiling
And then they started to chat . Mainly it was Raylen to speak since the three of them have been in constant touch.
Raylen was telling them about his recent business deal he cracked in UAE . Then about the place and the cuisines, when someone came with whom her eyes met with and didn't wanna leave .....
"Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Everhart.", A very handsome and charming man came up and greeted them.
"Thank you so much Enrique. We're so glad you could make it today.", Ethan said .
To which the guy smiled and said ...
" Of Course.. I had to come how could I miss it.", he said
"Ohhh right , lemme introduce you to each other.", He said when he noticed that they both were a little confused about their identities.
" Reselda this is Enrique Augustus Collins, And Enrique this is Reselda.", He said.
While they smiled at each other.
Then he brought his hand forward to which she responded appropriately and shook hands with him.
"Good to know Ms Reselda.", He said with a small smile.
"Likewise Mr. Collins.'', I replied with a smile .
"Heyy Enrique, how's it been going on bud?", Raylen asked him patting on his shoulder
With everything happening around them , their eyes didn't wanna leave one another's.
Until Daphne came from behind and shook her…...
"Holy Merlin!!!!! Daphne I swear you are dead today.", She said angrily while all the five of them were laughing.
"Dr. Reselda, it seems to me that today is your shockers day.", Raylen said laughing and high-fiving Daphne.
"Screw you both .", She said and started to leave the hall in long strides.
When someone held her back.....

There was a lot happening around them but their eyes didn't wanna leave eachother.
Until Daphne came from behind and shook her...
