Placing the last mug on its rightful shelf, Amber sighed. She had just moved in to her new apartment in Brooklyn she turned to stare out of the window. A starry night met her gaze, and as she rested her sweaty forehead against the frosted window pane she thought about her job that she had to start on Friday. "Who says come to work starting Friday?" she thought. Nevertheless, that gave her three days to explore her new home and prepare for her job. With that in mind she turned and took a shower and prepared for bed.
The next morning Amber got out of bed, showered and got dressed she decided on a red skater dress with black leggings, ankle heel boots and a leather jacket. Stuffing some money in a purse and then turning on her GPS locator , she started her day.
She had been walking for about an hour when she spotted the cutest little café. it had a reddish-pink paint on the walls and was decorated with flowers, from the smell she could tell they were fresh. the café had high chairs surrounding round tables on which the guests would sit and order their drink. She also noted that they didn't only sell coffee, but cakes and wines also.
As she sat down a server came to take her order, she had an AFFOGATO which is espresso poured on vanilla ice cream and a red velvet cheesecake cupcake. Looking through her phone she realized that this shop was one block away for her place of employment she could walk here and collect her coffee before going to work and with that in mind she paid and left.
The rest of the day was spent by buying clothes suitable for her workplace ,afterall she was going to be an assistant in a fortune 500 company, she couldn't stroll in with a jean and crop top. She purchased some work suits as well as some dress with heels that were workplace appropriate, putting her purchases away she showered and went to bed.
The next day was spent with Amber locating food marts and supermarkets close to her home, she found a dry cleaners , a library and several bars near her vicinity. Satisfied with her knowledge with the areas around her home, she went to fill up her cupboards with food, after filling her cupboards and herself with food, she laid on her sofa and picked up a book her mind wasn't on it as it was focused on other things like "will I be good at my job?" "is my boss a nice person?" "I wonder what time I get of from work?" and with these thoughts swirling in her head, she fell asleep.
