First Person Pov
"Good evening, Y/n." The man spoke.
I wasn't going to prevaricate, but the man before me was quite attractive. He was tall and had a slim build. His long black hair cascaded down his strong face. And his silver eyes, it was almost something I had seen before.
I hadn't noticed it, but, Dmitri Shostakovich - The Second Waltz, had started to play. The man, reached out in front of him, implying that I should take his hand.
"Care to dance?" He said, tilting his head forward. I took his hand, and we graciously stepped into the waltz position. As we started dancing, I ask the man a question.
"Shall I ask how you know my name?" Don't get me wrong, I had a plan, it's just his looks distracted me from it.
"I've believed we've met before, perhaps in another life?" He said.
"Then, how do I not know your name?"
"It's Chrollo, Chrollo Lucilfer."
"I see, Chrollo." I hesitated when I felt Chrollo's hand go from my upper-back to my sacrum.
"Ah, are you okay?" Chrollo conversed with a hint of worry in his eyes.
"Yes, I'm fine," I said, as Chrollo and I danced to the delightful music.
"So, Chrollo, you probably know that I came here to find you, y'know, I thought it would be harder to find you," I said, a small giggle escaping my lips.
Chrollo smiled too, "I see, are you an assassin?"
"No, but the man with the long black hair is, do you know him? He said he needed something from me."
Chrollo looked around, his eyes flickered when he saw something. My guess, he saw Illumi. Maybe he did know him, I mean Illumi is a Zoldyck, and the Zoldyck's are a big deal.
Chrollo looked back at me, his smile was pure and genuine.
Chrollo took his soft hand and touched my scar, his eyes became glossy. It almost looked like he was hurt about something.
I narrowed my eyebrows, I didn't like when anyone but me touched the big scar that ran across my eye, but something was different with Chrollo, he was right, it is like we had met before.
After a few more moments of dancing in silence, the song came to an end, and everyone around us began to walk away, going to eat some hors d'oeuvres or to sit down.
But Chrollo and I still danced, even though the music had ended, it was like we could still hear the heavenly symphony.
"I think the scar that you have is quite stunning," Chrollo said, his eyes filling with desire.
"Oh- uh- Thank you," I said, a light blush resting on my cheeks.
Just then out of the corner of my eye, I saw something, it was fast—whatever it was—. Just then, something was off.
As I looked around I saw that no one was in the ballroom anymore. Everyone was gone.
I started to worry. When Chrollo noticed this, he stopped dancing and smiled.
"It's just us now, Y/n. Forever." Chrollo explained.
I pulled away from Chrollo and ran as fast as I could—which was pretty fast, I must say—Up the stairs. I was met with locked doors. I looked back and saw Chrollo looking at me, not a bit of concern on his face. Only a small smile.
I looked back to the doors and ripped the locks off, allowing me to open the barriers. I ran out into the foyer, I looked ahead of me and saw two girls. One with pink hair and the other a dark black.
"Where are you going?" The pink-haired girl spoke.
"I was just leaving," I said, a smug smile on my lips.
This was a trap. But, was it set for me? And if it was, why?
"I didn't want to fight today Machi." The black-haired girl spoke.
"You don't have to, just call in Shalnark," Machi said.
"Shalnark?" The girl exclaimed, waiting for them to arrive.
Before this 'Shalnark' could enter, I ran at Machi, hitting her in the side with my foot.
Machi doubled over, and let out a sigh.
The raven hair girl lunged at me and missed. I jumped up in front of the girl—using her shoulders as a place to put my hands—flipping in midair and landing on my feet.
Machi ran at me, using what can only be described as an invisible string to grab onto my hands.
I struggled to get the string off and somehow managed to wiggle out of it.
Before I could regain myself. I felt a sharp pain in the back of my neck. As quickly as it came, it was gone. When I reached for whatever was happening on my neck, I felt my body go limp, as I fell into someone's arms.
I heard a faint muffled, "Sorry, Y/n! Bosses orders!"
I looked up to see who was holding me. Low and behold it was Chrollo Lucilfer.
Then, everything went black.
