Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

For many years my kind has been fighting and within those past years, many have fallen, one of those fallen was my father. My dear father how I miss you so, you were the only one that cared about me as I am not like my other siblings. Most of my siblings are warriors and the others are healers, while I choose to not fight and I am too clumsy to be a healer. So I just sit in my room drawing or sketching, it's my favorite hobby to do to pass the time. My siblings tease me because I am wingless and alone, they all have boyfriends or girlfriends for the upcoming New Years' party.

I wasn't planning on going to attend it anyway, it's not like anyone will notice my absence. I don't talk to anyone at parties because of my shyness. Right, you probably are wondering who I am, My name is Angelina Hevan the youngest angel in the Hevan bloodline. The Haven's are one of the royal families, there are other royal families like the Regales or the Shakas. Breaking out of my first few thoughts, I look down at the artwork I'm working on which is a pair of beautiful wings that I wish I had, I wanna know how it feels like to fly and the wind softly brushing my feathers. Unfortunately, it could never happen, I was born this way due to what my family calls a Curse, but I don't think it is a curse. I believe it is from the fact I wasn't meant to be an Angel, but a human. The only difference between a human and me is my eye color, it's a teal with a slight golden ring around the teal. We also have a tattoo on our backs in-between the shoulder blades, our tattoos are our wings. Now before you ask if I have a tattoo, I do, but it has no wings. What the tattoos look like is a halo with a wing on the left and right side slightly folded in, what mine looks like is just the halo. I close my sketchbook and hid all my art supplies so no one can find them, not wanting to get teased for my art. Laying in bed I look up at the ceiling bored out of my mind, eventually, I had drifted off to sleep. Several hours or minutes later I was awoken from my amazing dream by the second youngest bursting into my room, I give Tyler a soft smile and asked him what did he need. He just sat on my bed with an odd look. "Hey Angelina I had an idea to prove your-" I shake my head knowing where he was heading. "No Tyler, I'm not going to try to impress a male to prove myself. At this point, I don't know if I want to even prove myself. I'm not useful for anything." Tyler shook his head and pulled me into a hug which surprised me. "You aren't useless, you'll find what you were destined to do. You helped me and now I'll help you." I just simply nodded, glad I have someone who cares. After a while, I decided to on a walk in a park when I noticed a red envelope stuck up in a tree. So I climbed the tree and grabbed the envelope, I remained in the tree as I looked at the envelope. Besides, it is a deep red it also had beautiful markings in black on it, even though I was curious I didn't open it. Not here at least, I probably will once I return to my room. As I walked back to my family's home, I had an uneasy feeling I don't know why though, I shrugged it off and entered the house heading straight to my room.

Meanwhile, in the Demon Kingdom.

The king was pacing through his office while his right and left hands were watching him quietly. He was muttering words under his breath when his mother walked into his office. "My dear son, please calm down. I'm just trying to lighten you up a bit, you can't stay alone forever." The king looked at his mother and snarled out a response. "I don't need anyone, as all they want is my power. Also, just because I have a female in my room for a night doesn't mean anything. I just get so damn bored, and you are lucky I don't send you to the dungeon mother. " His mother frowned and rolls her eyes. "Damon, you are just as stubborn as your father." The king was now known as Damon softened at the mention of his father before it becoming rage. "He left us, mother! How can you still even think of him?! He just walked out upon seeing me, he never will be my father. So don't you EVER mention him again! Got it?!" The two hands flinched as power radiated off of Damon, even his mother cowered and just nodded before quickly leaving the office. Damon looks at his two hands and sighs. "Is everything ready for the New Year's party?" He asked and the right hand nodded his head. "Yes, sir, and the invitations all have been delivered. Though we seemingly have misplaced one, Your Highness. " Damon shakes his head, chuckling darkly. "Just great, some human or those stupid angels might have the invite and will be going to the party, and we wouldn't know. Perfect, absolutely perfect. " He commanded the two to find the invitation by any means necessary, as he didn't want any party crashers. Damon sat down at his desk, putting his face in his hands, letting out a long frustrated groan. A part of him hated this war, but those angels needed to learn their lesson. Even though at this point he doesn't even remember what lesson they had to learn or what they did to need it, the war has dragged on to the point he didn't remember much. At this point, Damon enjoyed the breaks in the war, it gave him time to breathe and relax. Though this time he can't breathe and relax knowing that his enemy could have easy access to his kingdom. He bit his lip, trying to think of a solution, but everything ended in a dead-end, also causing him to eventually pass out on his desk.

A/N: The first chapter is done! Please excuse how I wrote it, I'm still learning how to write a book correctly. Though all that matters is that hopefully, everyone will enjoy it and want more as I'll be working on the next chapter. Not sure how long I'll make it, I guess it depends on how much my imagination has in store for the chapter. Anyway, I'll see everyone in the next chapter of "Demons and Angels V1"!
