Thanksgiving is over and we're back at school. I'm currently in my self-defense class with Jaxon, Jenna, and Jake.
Jax and I are currently paired up and I'm letting my frustrations out on him.
I wipe away the sweat that has built up on my forehead and get into a defensive stance. I do a motion with my hands signifying him to come at me. He runs at me full force and when he reaches me, I use his shoulders to flip over him, twisting in the air and landing on my feet with his back facing my front.
He turns around and tries to swipe my feet from under me but I do a backhand spring and kick him in the chest, making him fall backward. He grunts out from the force and growls in frustration, coming at me full force. He does a false attack, punching toward my face with one hand but then punching me in the abdomen with the other while I protect my face.
"Frack," I yell out, falling onto my back and breathing heavy.
"Give up yet," he asks me, falling beside me.
"Yeah sure, whatever," I say when I get my breathing under control.
Jake and Jenna come over to us with water and towels and we thank them. Jake helps me off the ground as I'm too lazy to get up on my own.
"I need a shower," I say wrinkling my nose in distaste.
"I think we all do," Jenna replies.
We're all covered in sweat and we smell pretty bad. Jake and Jaxon have their shirts off and they are glistening, literally glistening! How is it guys can look so hot all sweaty when we girls look like drowned cats? I just don't understand!
"You look hot," I tell Jake without thinking, immediately blushing when I realize I said that out loud. Jax bursts into laughter, making my blush turn darker.
"Shut up you baboon," I yell at him, pushing on his shoulder and making him almost lose his balance. He would have fallen over if Jen hadn't steadied him. I roll my eyes and walk out of the room, almost running Auntie Ariel.
"Whoa, who pissed in your cornflakes this morning," she says with a raised eyebrow.
"Sorry Auntie A, I'm in a rush to go and shower," I tell her sheepishly.
She gives me a laugh and wrinkles her nose. "That's probably best. You smell like wet garbage."
I gasp in mock hurt and she gives me a big grin.
"Go shower and I'll see you later," she tells me.
"Yes ma'am," I say, giving her a salute.
She just shakes her head at me and carries on her way down the hall.

"I think she likes you too bro," I tell Jake after I come out of our shared bathroom.
"Yeah," he trails off.
I narrow my eyes at him, suspicious of him brushing me off. I feel like there's already something going on between them and it hurts me that they haven't told me.
"Is there something going on that I should know," I ask him, raising my eyebrow at the end.
He looks at me nervously and then starts to stutter, "Uh... Um..."
"Dude, you know you can tell me anything right," I say. I can hear the hurt in my own voice with the fact that he won't talk to me.
He takes a deep breath and then says something that completely takes me off guard. "We've been seeing each other for about a year."
I stare at him in shock and then my face goes blank. I was not expecting that. I knew something had been going on with him lately but I didn't know it was this. I would see him sneaking off in the middle of the night and leaving the room to take phone calls when we hung out, but I didn't realize it was this.
I put my socks and shoes on and then leave his room. I'm hurt, not by the fact that he's with my sister but because he didn't tell me for a year.
"Jax! Where are you going," he yells after me, but I just ignore him. I pass Mea in the hallway heading toward my room.
"Hey Jaxy, I was just about to come and see yo-" she cuts herself off when I keep walking past her. I can hear Jake following and she asks him what's going on, but I don't stick around for his response. I need to take a walk to clear my head.
I make my way to the weapons room and see that there are a couple of other people here. I ignore them and find some throwing knives and make my way to a target. I'm here for about an hour when Jen comes to find me.
"I thought I'd find you here," she says in a soft tone. She makes her way over to where I had sat down and joins me, leaning her head on my shoulder in silence.
"You already knew, didn't you," I ask her after sitting in silence for ten minutes.
"Yeah, she told me over break," she says softly.
"Why was I the last to know," I ask with pain and hurt clearly in my tone.
"They were scared of your reaction, which I told her was stupid," she tells me. "We all knew it would be hypocritical if you had a problem with it seeing as we've been together for over two years."
I sigh and lean my head back against the wall, closing my eyes. I feel her move and straddle my legs. I open my eyes and stare into her beautiful hazel-blue eyes.
"I'm not even upset that they're together, it's just the fact that they waited a year to say anything," I tell her honestly.
"Just tell them how you're feeling. They didn't mean to hurt you or keep things from you. They just didn't know how you would react."
She grabs my face and stares deeply into my eyes.
"How did you react when you found out," I ask her curiously.
"I was a little hurt and pissed, but I know they had their reasons."
"You have the biggest heart in the world, did you know that," I say, leaning in to capture her lips with mine.
"Of course, I'm amazing," she says, flipping her hair when we pull apart. I laugh at her and then kiss her on the forehead.
"I love you," I tell her sincerely.
"I love you more," she replies with a beautiful smile.
