Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Planning

Things have been going great lately. I have been planning this wedding like a crazy person. We decided that we should wait until after I have the twins and I have had time to recover from birth. I'm twenty-three weeks pregnant and I've been trying to talk to the twins more and more lately so that they can get used to my voice.

Any time Danny or I talk to them, they move around a lot more, which is still pretty weird to feel. The girls have been obsessing over buying gifts for the twins even though they got plenty of gifts at the baby shower.

"I just think little man would look so cute in this tux," Ariel says, holding up a tuxedo that looks like it will fit a three-year-old.

"Umm, A, you do realize that he won't be that size for a few years right," I ask her.

"I mean yeah, but you can never have too many clothes," she replies.

"Oh, honey. I appreciate all the gifts but I think they have plenty to last them until they are at least five.

"Well now you have another outfit to add to the collection," she says, smiling at me and placing the tux on my growing belly.

I just laugh at her and Beth walks in.

"What's so funny," she asks, sitting down on the bed next to me and rubbing my stomach.

"Ariel is just being a crazy auntie," I tell Beth with an eye-roll.

"Of course she is. I'm the fun aunt and Ariel is the crazy one," Beth says, earning a smack on the arm from Ariel.

I shake my head at their weirdness.

"Anyways, we're here to help you plan your big day," Beth says with excitement.

"Okay, we need to make a checklist of everything that needs to be done and this all doesn't have to be done at once. This is just what needs to get done," Ariel starts, getting into planning mode.

"We need a theme," Beth says. "I know you probably already have one in mind since you've been planning your wedding since we were six."

I laugh and reply, "Yeah, I wanted to go with a winter wonderland type theme."

"Oh my gosh! That will be so beautiful," Ariel squeals, writing it down.

Beth agrees and then says, "Okay, financials slash the budget. How much do you plan on paying for the wedding?"

"My parents said that there isn't a set price. They're willing to pay however much it costs," I tell her.

"Cool, what about the venue," Beth asks.

"TBD," I reply.

"Wedding colors?"

"I was thinking of blue, white, and silver. You know winter type colors."

"I love it," Ariel yells in excitement. She has been silently taking notes as we go.

"Yeah, I like it too. That is going to be so beautiful," Beth says. "Okay, guest list! Obviously, the gang will be there and your family. Who else are you thinking of?"

"I don't even want to think about that right now, that's too stressful and we have time," I say, rubbing my temples.

"Alright, no need to start freaking out. We have plenty of time to add on to it," she tells me, while Ariel rubs my back.

"I'm fine, this is just a lot," I reassure them.

"Are you sure? We don't want to overwhelm you," Ariel says in concern.

"Yeah, I'm good," I say, grabbing their hands.

"If you're sure," Beth says, moving on. "Next is ceremony sites. Where do you see yourself getting married?"

"Hmm, I was thinking a barn or maybe just the backyard. I just don't really know at the moment," I tell her.

"Okay, next is wedding invitations. We have to figure out the design and everything, but we can rope that in with the guest list."

"I'm good with that."

"Caterers, florists, and photographers."

"TBD."

"Wedding dress style?"

"I'm thinking princess style, but I'm not set on it just yet."

"Hotel rooms for guests and you and Danny."

"No idea what hotel I want yet, so TBD."

"Okay, I think that's good for now," Beth says, putting away the wedding planner that she and Ariel have started.

"Thank God," I say with a loud sigh of relief.

They laugh and we sit around and watch movies for the rest of the day.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hey baby," Danny says, wrapping his arms around me as soon as I walk out the front door.

"Hey, I missed you," I tell him, leaning up to give him a quick peck. "Do we have to go to school?"

"Unfortunately we do, but Valentine's Day is coming up and I have something special planned," he says reassuring me.

"You know I don't like Valentine's Day," I tell him. "I don't need some holiday to show how much I love you or to show me how much you love me."

"I know, but there will be food," he whispers in my ear.

I don't know what it was but the way he said that was so hot and now I want to jump his bones. Stupid hormones!

"We should go before I do some things that should not be done in the open," I warn him. He laughs and opens the car door for me to slide in. He gets in and heads to the school, driving like a grandpa.

"I'm just saying, you do not need to drive that slow babe," I tell him as we walk to my locker where the gang is waiting for us.

"Hey baby mama," Ariel says, coming up to hug me.

"Hey, A," I say, returning her hug.

"Why don't you sound very cheery? Is everything okay," Beth asks in concern.

"Yeah I'm fine, I'm just a little tired," I tell her.

"Are you sure," Brian asks.

Brian has been like the brother I never knew I wanted. When Danny and I got in a fight, he came over to check on me. We talked the whole night until I fell asleep.

"Yeah, I'm good Bri," I tell him with a smile.

He kisses me on the cheek and we all head to class.
