After two months in the hospital, Nick was finally outside and was released. His rehabilitation was excellent and his body was not malnourished anymore.
To celebrate that, Anne and Lucas helped Nick to decorate his apartment for a small party of eleven. Nick invited the other soldiers from the rescue group before Lucas went with him to the supermarket to buy some ingredients for the party.
"I want meat," That was the first thing that Nick said as soon as they went inside the store. Lucas chuckled at this before they strolled around the aisle to buy different ingredients, chips, and drinks, before checking out. They also had a bit of a quiz time together, since it's been so long since Nick recognized the fresh produce and other processed products in the market, and so far, he got the most out of it correctly.
After that, they went back to his apartment which is a thirty-minute walk back.
