Anne was the first one to retract her hands from holding Nick's hand before standing properly.
"I suppose we were being rude earlier, I apologize, Nick," Anne said to him looking into his eyes. Nick chuckled at her words and tilted his head to the side, his eyes were amused.
"Why are your words sounding so strict and formal? You make it look like we are not close to each other, Anne," Nick said and Anne felt a bit surprised at this.
Nick... Yesterday he was hurt and confused, maybe that is the reason why he asked her if she was breaking her promise to him for saving her life outside in the Gnosis. But is that really the truth? Sometimes, it's not the best idea to believe a stranger...however, since he indeed saved her life from the zombies multiple times, and he helped on retrieving the last piece of machinery that is needed for the Haven to take off, Anne supposed it will be fine to give him a chance to be closer to her.
