Four days have passed now since Raven arrived in the Inner Court . After separating with Elder Mark , Raven stayed inside his mansion the whole time and focused on improving his cultivation and skills with all his heart . He wanted to learn new things like pill refining but suppressed the urge because for him strength is most important . He can always focus on other things after gaining sufficient strength and besides with his stronger Soul , learning the Arts of Pill Refinig , Formation and Forginig must not be difficult . Raven has no experience to back up this claim but he had read hundreds of books now and from the data he can see the importance of his talents for the three prestigious professions .
When he recieved the mansion , the new Sect uniform and scripture of Martial Master Realm was already waiting for him on top of the dinig table . So he readily used his 2 free Martial Skill Tokens and chose his two new skills which were most similar to his Mount Cleave and Wave Steps but with more profound content and requirements. He does not want to waste time right now to practice completely unfamiliar skills just to satisfy his curiosity which accompanies him from being a researcher in the past life. 2. Fountain Steps
The names of these skills were simple but the content was enormous because it was more than ten times that of his previous skills . This time he did not waste the chance to use his free Tokens which can help him learn higher level skills disregarding his low present cultivation. He is only at Martial Master Realm So according to the Sect Policies he can only learn skills from the 2nd floor but the prize Tokens made it possible to choose skills from the third floor too which is generally only accessible to those of higher cultivation Realms .
He still possesses the one month Training Weapon Hall Token but he decided to save it until he truly needs it . Truly connections are important as from the casual advice of Elder Mark during the meal , he benefited a lot and the barrier which was holding back his advancement in the sword way lifted for good. A whole new world opened and he can only venture further now . He discovered the existence of Sword Intent way before through books but Elder Mark confirmed that Raven was already at the threshold of achieving it .
According to him , those who are immensely talented in the Way of Weapons can achieve perfection in the respective Martial Skills much easily than others but suddenly they come to understand the existence of power called Intent . Generally the power of a Martial Skill is predetermined according to its rank as only the purity of qi can make some difference after reaching perfection in the said skill . But there is further level for weapons which is called weapon intent .
The sword can harmonize with Heaven and Earth and borrow its power to achieve greater strenght and sharpness. This power has nothing to do with actual cultivation realm of a cultivator as there are independent realms of Weapon Cultivation .

Each of these realms have three sub realms called Beginner , Advanced and Perfection . The realms can only be improved with further insight in the way of sword . Raven became excited because he easily breached the barrier with some insights from Mark and reached Beginner Sword Intent on the same day . Now he can only improve further with constant simulation, research and insights . All of these steps are familiar to Raven who was a Reaecher in the past life . Now he had changed his daily schedule . In the morning he will practice his Martial Skills for 2 hours and spend five hours in meditation while improving his insights in the way of sword . The rest of the time Raven dedicated to cultivation sessions as the advancement speed was greatly boosted by the Energy Gathering Formation . Now in just four days he had already opened 3 accupoints of his second Major artery and reached Peak 3rd Level of Martial Master Realm . This speed will cause others to die of shame as they require months to achieve the same result and even with countless external resources.
His new skills being in the similar lines with his old ones , became much simpler to practice so he achieved small accomplishment in both of them with rigorous practice as his body does not know pain and fatigue is the last thing a cultivator is afraid of . The need of food was now pretty much nonexistent as Martial Masters can just survive on energy from Heaven and Earth and enjoy their lifespan increased by 50 plus years . Raven only slept for a few hours in this four days time frame as he did not feel the need for more . Thus his advancement was destined to happen complementing his hard work and talent .
Suddenly he heard a knocking sound from the direction of the Main door and Raven was forced to end his cultivation session mid way. He was certainly displeased but the disciple came with a Level 2 Secet Letter so his displeasure was now changed with a frown .
The sect was like an organisation and disciples its soldiers . So besides the missions in the mission hall , there were many types of missions assigned to disciples with some classifying as Secret Missions .
These missions were passed by the Disciplinary Authorities and usually the disciples belonging to the same department will deliver the mission personally to the recipient. This polite behavior was just a facade as these type of missions cannot be refused but the disciple at any cost . This secret mission assigned to Raven was actually that of the highest rank that can be assigned to a Inner Disciple Level 2 Secret . So this is a serious matter .
Raven chose to ignore his thoughts of tracing the origin of this mission as he has to accept it anyway so it does not matter now who issued it . Still Raven planned to reach the 9th Level Martial Master first before descending the mountain but now he was forced to leave earlier . He accepted the letter and politely sent the black robed disciple off .
Raven quickly went back inside and opened the letter to take a look at this difficult mission which needs his personal attention .
He read the letter once and burnt it afterwards because this was the protocol . The mission was actually an assasination mission but it intrigued Raven as the estimated location of the target was Rock Mountain. From the books Raven knew that there exists a small hidden piece of land rich with spiritual medicine there . So this mission was now too important to Raven as he could harvest many herbs to practice Alchemy in future .
There were many theories but Raven found one plausible that said the hidden land actually sucked all the vitality of the Rock Mountain and left it barren where not a single piece of grass grows . This indicated that there may be danger with opportunities but Raven was not afraid and looked forward to his little adventure. The assasination target was a Bandit leader whose whole gang was massacred already by a Royal Family after they laid hands on a princess . But he managed to escape and now the family decided to borrow the power of the sect to gather information with the help of huge network and Kill that bastard for good . To issue missions to a sect huge money was required so they must have paid a huge price. The target had cultivation of 7th Level Martial Master but Raven was not afraid. Besides the mission time Limit was that of 2 months so Raven has all the time to cultivate and reach further realms while adventuring on the way. This mission does not sound like a bad deal now..
