Chapter 4 - Shocking Talent

Fortunately, there was another door from where one could exit the blood pool because the elder outside would be scared shitless if he saw someone exiting the pool as it had been thousands of years since someone managed to do so . He would certainly die of shock if he came to know that Raven had actually stayed inside the pool for more than 40 hours .

Nobody would bother checking the token formation so Raven had no worries about someone finding out about him accessing the blood cleansing pool . In fact other than Crow , almost no one even knew Raven in this ridiculously large sect which harboured too many people . Nothing had changed for Raven's outer appearance as just his previous somewhat dark skin tone had vanished and replaced by normal skin tone . Nobody was free enough to notice this small change anyway.

Raven had accomplished his first goal that he set for himself successfully so now his priority was to reach Martial Disciple Second Level quickly and start practicing Martial Skils. One can only enter the Martial Pavilion after their cultivation has reached such minimal level . Raven being an orphan, of course did not have any access to other martial skills like some rich people who buy them externally.

There was a talent stone which was used to check the talent of disciples . Raven wanted to know about how much his talent had improved but he managed to restrain his desire because he knew that the area was populated and it would cause him trouble if someone noticed the spike in his talent . This world was cruel so people would chase him and even torture him to get the secret out of him about how his talent improved so much . There were many rare natural treasures that had such functions in this world , the blood cleansing pool being one of the most painful one of them . Nobody would believe him anyway if he told them the truth and Raven did not plan to tell them anyway .

After an hour of walking Raven returned to his shabby room and was surprised because he did not feel any fatigue after walking for so many kilometer without rest. His present cultivation had not even stepped into Martial Diwciple Level One so except the fact that he could sense energy in the atmosphere, he was no different for non cultivators right now .

Raven being a researcher, quickly managed to guess the reason . He concluded that his basic body stats must have improved now after his body was devour of useless impurities . The cells must be filled with vitality as even if Raven could not be sure but he could feel that his body contained many times his previous strength . Everything would be clear after he started his session of absorbing energy and refining qi anyway so he immediately sat cross legged on the floor.

To step on the path of cultivation , one must form a qi seed first in their bodies and then slowly start opening their major artery with the qi from the seed . The predecessor had already formed the qi seed so Raven now only had to fill the seed with qi .

According to the basic scripture given to new disciples by the sect , Raven started absorbing energy which was transversing inside his body through various channels . The change in speed scared Raven as he managed to complete a cycle in less than a second while the predecessor completed the same in more than an hour according to the memories. Now the rational brain of a researcher came in handy as Raven did not suffer from qi deviation and managed to calm himself . It would not be a joke if he died right after managing to gain second chance at life after all .

Raven did not refine further qi as he calmly analysed the change in refining speed first . He did not have much data so even after an hour of contemplating, he only managed to reach the conclusion that his talent improved too much . Well instead of feeling happy , Raven was scared now as he knew that if he wanted to , he could reach the 2nd level of Martial Disciple Realm in at most an hour with his now improved speed. The same process would take normal people weeks or even months of patient cultivation . He was scared because if anyone came to know about this change , they would definitely target him . Geniuses enjoyed resources but at the same time , they had to suffer from countless assaults and most of them did not manage to live . Raven knew this fact as it was even more true in this survival of the fittest world .

He did not manage to come up with a good solution except hiding his cultivation . He could hide from disciples in the same major realm if he did not display his prowess but any more than that is impossible without other means . Still Raven also knew that his Martial heart would suffer if he deliberately slowed his cultivation . This was too much demerit for his future path . So after deliberation , Raven decided to increase his strenght anyway as only his personal strenght was the most reliable solution for most of the things in this world .
