Fortunately, Jeor Mormont was a capable commander and listened to Edward's words. Of course, Edward had to put a plan in case of the worst thing happened.

When he went to the Wall before, he told Jeor Mormont what to do, in case he faced all the forces of the Night King in one go. And it seemed that those tactics had finally become useful at this moment.

Joer Mormont had tactfully retreated with most of his men, who were guarding the second Wall and did not lose many men in that small battle. Not only that, but he also managed to burn those who fell and retreated to the Main Wall.

The only loss in that battle was the second Wall that got destroyed to the ground with the fire of six dragons. The things were as Edward expected somehow. The Night King had more dragons, and Edward did not know if he let the man had his time, he could probably take more, and Edward could not afford that.

As for Jon Snow's letter, it said that they finally found Bran. But it seemed that the Night King did more than only marking him. The Night King attacked him with his spear, and Bran's body was turning into ice little by little. Our Bran did not have much to live and was about to die, and Jon was about to break down for losing another brother. He was asking Edward if he had a solution to this problem.

Edward ignored Jon's state since he did not have time to play the dad's role here since he had a lot on his mind. Plus, even if he had a solution, he would leave Bran to face his death. Fortunately for Jon, Edward did not have any, so Edward was not feeling guilty at all about this.

Bran's existence on the Wall meant that the Night King would destroy the Wall soon, and it would end up with another disaster. Edward could only think of one thing. He would ask the group to retreat with everyone living in the North to the south, leaving no one there. And those who refused to migrate, the group had to kill them.

"Bring me the paper and ink." Said Edward as he seemed more restless while demanding the paper.

When Stannis handed him what he asked, Edward started writing the letter himself before giving it to Stannis.

"Send it to Jon Snow in the North as fast as you can." Said Edward with a more grave expression on his face.

"Ship everything you can to the North, if you could not, then to the Twins. Prepare for the fight that would decide the future of the realm of men." Said Edward as he looked at everyone. Edward thought that they might lose the North since he knew that the armies might not reach Winterfell in time.

"Take your dragons and follow me. It is going to be a hard battle." Said Edward as he looked at his children, who nodded their heads after hearing his words.

Edward planned to intercept the Night King and his armies with the dragons. He wanted to reduce their number as much as he could while saving the Night's Watch. The Night's Watch was the perfect group to fight the Night King, and Edward did not want to lose them.

Not only did they number more than thirty thousand men, but they were all armed with weapons made from Dragonglass. Of course, Edward had many weapons made from Dragonglass, but his armies were not used to them like the Night's Watch. Edward had even weapons from Dragonglass that could take down the dragons on the Night King's side, but the problem was how to ship them. Edward did not think that the war against the dead would come this soon and did not ship them to the North yet.

Edward hoped that the Night King's side would not have more than ten dragons, or Edward might even lose one of his children in this fight. Since Daenerys was finally pregnant with her first child and Rhaenys with her second, Edward did not plan to take those two. The fight would include Edward and his seven children with Stannis and his eldest son, Steffon.

It did not take long before the machine named Stormkingdom started working to its full capacity, leaving no room for chance or luck. No one dared to slack off because of the orders issued by the king, and those who dared to disobey the order would go to the prison immediately.

The busiest location in the kingdom was Storm's Eye's port, where more than five hundred ships were getting loaded with weapons, war engines, and all the suitable materials for the war. The number of people working in the port alone those days was more than a hundred thousand men.

Rhaenys, who was in her first months of pregnancy, was the one supervising everything herself with Qyburn since she was not going to follow the group to the North. Qyburn wanted to go with Edward and the group to the North and asked Edward on more than one occasion to allow him to follow him since he wanted to see those dead corpses moving.

But Edward would always refuse since he was not sure that he would manage to protect himself, let alone Qyburn. But since Edward knew the man's character and believed that the mad scientist would go there anyway, Edward could only promise him to allow him to go after this battle.

As for Edward and the other eight, they traveled with their dragons to the North. Edward purposely chose to pass the sky above King's Landing to bring more trouble for Cersei.

Cersei already had enough trouble to deal with since the High Sparrow started moving against her and accusing her of doing the unforgivable sins.

Edward's move would turn Cersei's life into hell because the Smallfolks would panic and start demanding more from Cersei. This matter would bring more consequences.

After passing through King's Landing's skies, Edward and the group continued on their way. They did not have much time to waste on the likes of Cersei.

If they delayed the matter any longer, they might fail to save the Night's Watch. Although Edward's letter got sent earlier, he should arrive faster with his dragons. The ravens could not beat a dragon in the speed, could they?

It did not take them a few hours before arriving at the skies of Winterfell. The Smallfolks living in the castle and the winter town around it did not seem surprised since Lyonel's dragon, Hozno, was flying in the skies, looking at his brothers and sisters while screeching loudly, as if it wanted to greet them.
