-------------------------------

Edward sent Tywin two letters until this moment. The first was after Robert's death when Cersei demanded him to hand his lands back to the crown. Edward told Tywin that they had a war, and when he returned to Westeros, he would play with the Lannister cats a little to show them who was the master in this land.

At that time, Tywin was furious at his daughter's stupidity and wanted nothing more than to strangle her for making more enemies for him. He was sure that he could coax Edward with marriage after he returned from Essos.

Tywin knew that Edward would never stand by their side or support them with soldiers to fight The North or any kingdom. But Tywin knew that if he could persuade Edward to stay by the side without interfering in the war and only watch from afar, it would be equivalent to winning this war.

Tywin knew that he would probably lose all the south by doing that since The Reach and Dorne would join the Storm Kingdom and annul any relationship with the other kingdoms. But it was better than nothing since he knew that he would lose it all if he went against Edward.

Tywin knew that it was impossible for him to defeat Edward, who had more than twice his armies and more in Essos, at the moment if they had to fight. It might have been possible before, but after Edward's territories and armies reached a certain point, it became impossible to do that.

But if the Lannister got to keep the other kingdoms, they would have won this war. Their investment would get them back some returns if they managed to achieve that. Tywin would be content to have, Westerlands, The Vale, Riverlands, Iron Islands, The North, and the rest of the Crownlands under his control.

But Cersei's provocations almost blew things up and made everyone an enemy. At that time, Edward did not finish his wars with the Dothraki, according to the latest news that Tywin got. So Tywin thought that he would have some time to solve this problem before Edward returned.

Tywin thought that Rob Stark was just a young man, and he would have the chance to end this rebellion quick enough to find an excuse to marry his granddaughter to Edward's son.

At the moment, everything changed since he could not defeat Rob Stark and his son was in Rob's hands instead, making it difficult for him to launch an attack on the young wolf. Not only that, but his grandson did the only thing that he should not have ever done and killed Ned Stark, the father of Rob Stark and the friend of Edward, fucking up everything in an instant.

Edward's second letter came to Tywin's hands at the moment. Not only that, but another one about the armies' movements in the Storm Kingdom arrived as well. Edward's letter told him that they were officially at war and when he returned, he would leave no Lannister alive. Not only that, but Edward banned all the ships or fleets of the Westerlands from traveling in any sea as he issued a sink-on-sight order to his men, making the Lannister's losses more and more.

What Edward did was cutting any external help and money for the Lannister. With the Iron Bank gone after Edward removed Bravos from the map and that ban he issued, the Lannister could only dream of getting gold or assistance from the outside of Westeros.

That meant that if the Lannister did not win the war against Rob Stark, that would mean they would not have any more gold to support their armies since they would need Riverland's fields to grow crops and other things.

The armies of Storm Kingdom were on the borders of the Kingswood and Westerlands. If Edward ordered them, they would conquer the lands without any hesitation.

The reason why Edward did not order that because he was not there. He could not ask his men to lead the war without his presence since that might cause panic in the kingdom, which would make it difficult for them to continue with the war.

In the Reach,

Highgarden,

Lady Olenna was strolling through one of the gardens in the castle with her granddaughter beside her. While she was walking, she was also reading the letter that landed on her hand. After reading everything, she could not help but shake her head with some pity in her eyes.

"What is it, grandmother? Is something wrong?" Asked Margaery as she looked at her grandmother by her side. Olenna was her first supporter, and Margaery loved her from the deep of her heart.

"Well, nothing to bother you with, my dear. I only pity the old fox, Tywin Lannister." Said Olenna as she shook her head after hearing her daughter's question. She was in the same situation Tywin was in back then, but she was smart enough not to take it that far. She prohibited her son, Mace, from making any move without returning to her.

That was Olenna's advantage against Tywin. The queen of thorns had better control over her family than Tywin had, which helped her solving many problems.

Olenna's idiot son caused them to lose much back then when he decided to side with the Targaryen against that Baratheon's little beast back than making them lose nearly a third of their kingdom like that.

If it was not for her, House Tyrell would not have an heir back then since Edward did take her son a prisoner, threatening her to kneel down to him, or he would end House Tyrell's line without any care.

No one could say that she did not try to take her lands back because she did everything in her ability to return these lands, but she failed in the end, even with the help of the Lannister and that king, Robert.

She tried to cause problems to Edward, but one threat from Edward and one fight against the Lannister made her stop her actions if she wanted to keep the rest of her lands and her head.

If Olenna continued to do what she was doing, House Tyrell's end would have come, but she used her intelligence at that time. She tried to marry her granddaughter, who got born a little later after the rebellion, to Edward's first son when she heard that Edward doted on his son the best. She wanted to make her daughter the queen of this vast kingdom in order to make House Tyrell reach high in the sky.
