"Are you sure?" Asked Raymont since he did not know what happened to Edward that made him change his mind like that.

Although Edward would give them the freedom to move the armies to what they saw fit enough to the situation, if anything went wrong, Edward's men would command the army instead.

"Yeah, you are nearly nineteen. You are more than capable of leading the army on your own. But this is also a test for you. Don't disappoint me. You understand?" Asked Edward with a serious face as he looked at his son. Although Edward made many plans to replenish his army if anything happened, he would still feel hurt if he lost many of his men just like that.

Eight months passed since this conversation, and Edward did not care about or look back to check the storm that started in Westeros because of him and Ned Stark's death.

Edward had a lot to do in Essos, and he did not even think of return even after his friend's death, but he played a trick here and there to show his stance, making the Lannister turn left and right before making any move.

After a few days of Edward's conversation with Raymont and sending him on his way to the Slaver's Bay, everything changed in King's Landing as Ned Stark got brought to confess his crime on the steps of the Great Sept of Baelor.

It was planned that Ned Stark would admit that Joffrey was the real heir to the throne at this moment, and Cersei would send him to the Wall. Cersei stood there imagining how her days would change after this and how she would get the chance to kill Edward in the future.

Ned Stark had found the one behind everything that happened to him and his family, the one that betrayed his trust and put him in this situation. Yeah, Petyr Baelish could not wait any longer after seeing that his plans were about to come to light and he would get rid of Ned Stark.

At the moment, Petyr decided to visit Ned Stark in the dungeons to laugh at him. Petyr knew that he won this fight and finally got his revenge against those Starks that caused him pain and humiliated him in the past by taking his lover back then.

When Petyr visited Ned Stark in the dungeon, the innocent Ned Stark thought that he got saved after seeing the man since he trusted that Petyr Baelish would help him as he did before.

Until this moment, Ned Stark did not think that Petyr was the one behind all this since Catelyn Stark, herself, recommended the man to Ned. Petyr also helped Ned Stark get more information in the city and supported him until the end.

"Where have you been? I did not see you for a month. Do you have a plan to get me out of here?" Asked Ned Stark as he found some hope after seeing Petyr Baelish. He hoped that Petyr would have thought of a plan to take Ned and his daughter out of King's Landing. He swore that he would reward Petyr after getting out of this shit.

Petyr looked at Ned Stark, who almost begged him for help, and could not help but smirk. He liked to see this scene very much and wished he could make the arrogant Brandon Stark from back then do the same.

Petyr was not satisfied after seeing Ned Stark like that and decided there was no need to hide anymore. House Stark would end on his hand after all since he would marry Sansa Stark and kill the rest of her family to rule the North.

"And why would I do that?" Asked Petyr Baelish with a mocking smile after seeing Ned beg him like that. He wished he could make Ned do more than just that, but he was sure that Ned Stark would never lower himself more than that. Ned Stark only did that because he trusted his wife's choice, Petyr Baelish, and thought that the man would help him.

"What do you mean?" Asked Ned Stark as he got confused by Petyr's words. He still did not get it that Petyr was the one who sold him out like that. Petyr was going to send Ned Stark to his death, and Ned Stark did not know anything.

"I did warn you not to trust me, did not I?" Said Petyr with a smile as he looked at Ned Stark. Petyr licked his lips after saying those words.

At this moment, Ned Stark finally understood what Petyr meant by his words after seeing that smile. He could not help but look at the man who told him directly that Cersei was having an affair with her brother.

Petyr was the man that made Ned Stark stay in King's Landing after he decided to leave that shit for good. He probably did not just tell him that information, but he should have gone to Cersei and told her that Ned Stark knew.

Ned knew that the southerners and their schemes were like a shit hole, but he did not expect that to happen. Ned could not help but blame his wife as well at this moment.

At the start, Ned Stark planned not to trust anyone in this city since he knew that everyone would scheme against him for their own benefits. He planned to search for evidence against the Lannister for killing Jon Arryn in secret. He only came to trust Petyr Baelish after his wife's words. And look at this situation. Petyr was the one that would cause his death.

"Why did you do that?" Asked Ned Stark as he still did not believe that something like that could happen. What about his daughter, who was still in the city? Was he going to depend on this traitor to save her?

"You always thought that you owned everything, you Stark. You and your brother did not think about it before taking my love away from me." Said Petyr as he kicked Ned Stark while looking at him with hate in his eyes. He wished he could torture the two Stark boys that took everything from him back then.

Petyr only knew the importance of power and money after experiencing everything back then. Petyr was on his way to achieve that in the following few years. He nearly controlled The Vale and their knights and was about to do the same to the North and Riverlands. He finally got his moment to humiliate Ned Stark, and he would not waste it.
