"Will you let me see my father and talk..." Asked Sansa as she looked at the queen, but one look from Cersei, and she got stopped in her speech. Cersei was playing on the girl's emotions, trying to manipulate her.
"You disappoint me, child. We spoke about your father's treason, so why would you want to meet treason. I only wanted you to write to him." Said Cersei trying to fake her disappointed look, making Sansa regret saying those words.
"I only meant... What would happen to him?" Asked Sansa as she wanted to have some hopes that her father would live.
"It depends on your brother and you." Said Cersei with a crafty smile as she handed the paper and the feather to Sansa to make her write to her family.
Sansa did not have a choice and had to do as Cersei said. Plus, the little girl still had some hopes to marry Joffrey in the end.
A week passed since that conversation, and Cersei managed to get Sansa's letters, and at once, Cersei sent those letters to Catelyn Stark in the Eyrie and Rob Stark in Winterfell before sending her own to every lord in Westeros. Cersei was not polite with her words at all and used her father's fearsome reputation to threaten everyone who would dare to refuse to swear his allegiance to her son. Although Tywin had gotten humiliated on Edward's hands more than one time already, no one could stand against Tywin and the Lannister's army except Edward.
In Winterfell,
Cersei's letter had reached Winterfell and got landed in Rob's hands not long ago. Maester Luwin was the one who delivered the letter to the young lord and was waiting for his orders with Theon next to him.
"Treason!!! Joffrey puts my father in chains, and now he is asking me to kiss his ass." Said Rob with an unbelieving voice. He thought that this was the funniest joke in the world. He would be an idiot if he let something like that happen.
"This is a royal command, my lord. And If you should refuse to obey..." Said maester Luwin with a grave tone as he himself did not expect such a disaster to fall on House Stark. Maester Luwin considered himself half-responsible for what happened to Eddard Stark since he was the one who approved of his idea to go with Robert. He was feeling guilty in his heart, and this time he could not retort Rob like he did last time when Rob suggested gathering the armies and attacking the Lannister after knowing that they were the ones behind Bran's accident.
"I won't refuse. I will go to King's Landing but not alone. Call the banners." Said Rob with some determination in his voice. Although he was waiting for this moment, he still feared what was going to happen. War was not a child's play after all. He might die with his men on the battlefield.
"Shouldn't you send a word to the Stormking to inform him about your decision and consult him before doing something like that? It would be really dangerous if you moved alone, my lord. The Lannister had a lot of men." Said maester Luwin as he looked at Rob. He saw that his words were the correct decision to make since Ned Stark and Edward Baratheon were good friends, and he was sure that Edward would not wait to save his friend. Plus, if something happened, Edward was the one who would take the throne since he was the one with the most claim. Edward was the one who should have sat on the throne, not Robert nor his children after him.
"Did not you hear Rob's words? Why would we need that man to make the decision for us?" Asked Theon with mocking eyes. He hated Edward to the core since he humiliated him and his family before. If it came to humiliation, he could have gotten over it, but Edward was the reason that the iron islands' population was no more than the bear island at the moment.
Although Edward did not participate in House Greyjoy's rebellion and since Edward was fighting with Robert and did not intend to help during that time, that did not stop him from humiliating Baelon Greyjoy and kicking him in front of his people in the Iron Islands. Edward led a fight himself against the Iron fleet when they tried to rob his ships.
After that accident, Edward did not only attack Iron Islands but also humiliated and exterminated most of their inhabitants. He also took Baelon Greyjoy's left hand and right leg when he left the island. As for Theon, when Edward saw him in Winterfell, Edward humiliated him in front of the Stark without giving a shit about Ned Stark himself.
Maester Luwin turned his eyes to the idiot, who spoke to him with respect. He never liked that boy since he was the descendent of those scumbags in the iron islands and behaved like them. He was the happiest when he heard what Edward did to those Ruffins. Luwin looked at the idiot, who was trembling in front of Edward not long ago and was badmouthing him at the moment.
"I did not see you raise your voice when the Stormking was here. I remember clearly that you hid with the dogs the day he spent in Winterfell. Don't say the words that you could not handle, boy." Said Luwin as he looked at Theon with disdain in his eyes. No one liked this idiot Theon except Rob, who thought Theon was his brother.
Rob, who also heard Theon's words, did not look that he was okay after hearing them. He respected Edward and saw him as an idol, especially after everything Ned Stark told his children. But Rob agreed with Theon on this point since he would not take his orders from Edward to save his own father.
"Theon, don't ever talk like that again about uncle Edward. As for you maester, Luwin, we don't have time to wait for uncle Edward's reply. As far as I know, he should be far deep in Essos fighting those Dothraki. I doubt that he would know about what happened in King's Landing until the next month. We can't wait that long. Plus, he would need more time to return to Westeros." Said Rob ending their conversation with this. How could he allow Edward to command the troops that he himself dreamed of leading into battles?
Rob had had enough of staying there in Winterfell while his rival Axel was fighting left and right in Essos, earning more fame for himself.
