Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: Seeing Lyanna

A/N: Hey guys,

I wanted to tell you something. I don't know if it would be a good thing or a bad one but I decided to rewrite the story from the start starting from the next week.

Don't worry. I am still uploading chapters here till we reach this point in the other edited version.

The problem will be that I don't know if I will be able to upload two chapters a day. I will differently upload a chapter a day, though. If I completed what I wanted, then a second chapter won't be a problem.

Here's today's first chapter.

For every two new pàtreons, I will upload one more chapter the next day.

Thanks for your support.

You can read up to 25 advanced chapters on my pàtreon.

Enjoy.

------------------------------

When the four reached the tower, they saw Gerald Hightower and Arthur Dayne wearing their armor and waiting for them there. Arthur came forward to stop in their path after they got down for their horses. Before he made his famous move of pushing his sword in the ground, he saw Edward and Clinn, and his face changed. He did not expect Edward to come down to this place to save Lyanna.

But Gerald Hightower did not care and took Arthur's place in greeting the newcomers. He thought that they had a chance if he and Gerald worked together.

"Lord Stark, Lord Baratheon, Lord Clinn." Nodded Arthur as he looked at everyone.

"Ho, I advised you, you little idiot, to leave the Kingsguards, but not only you did not but went on and kidnapped Lyanna with that fucken prince of yours." Said Edward with an angry tone. Yeah, he expected that Arthur would grow up in this timeline and not follow Rhaegar like his shadows all the time, but he still did it and participated in taking Lyanna.

"I swore an oath." Replied Arthur, showing that he was disappointed at Rhaegar as well.

"It is better that you were not in the Trident, or I would have put my sword in your throat as I did to your prince." Said Edward, as this would have been the likely scene to happen if Arthur would have been there.

"If we had been there, you would have lied dead in the ground." Said Gerald Hightower with an arrogant attitude. The man did not realize the situation he was in after all this. Even Arthur was behaving himself. In front of them were two people who had defeated Arthur before, and with Ned and Howland Reed, they would not have a chance.

"Are not we at it? Why don't you show me how will you do that?" Said Edward with an annoyed expression. He did not give a shit about Gerald at all, but he had to take Arthur alive this time, or Ashara would kill him this time.

Edward intended to let Ned take care of that Gerald and kill him while Edward would take care of the idiot Arthur himself with Clinn. He did not require Clinn's help to defeat Arthur, but it was insurance so that Arthur would not die in his hand.

Both parties took out their sword, and Ned went to face Gerald while Edward moved a little by little to Arthur. He wanted to teach him a lesson and make him blame himself. The news from King's Landing did not reach them yet. Arthur did not know that his sister got raped and killed by the mountain. Edward wondered what Arthur's expression would turn into after hearing about the news of his sister's death.

While Ned was fighting Gerald, Edward looked at the hesitating Arthur in front of him. Arthur did not want to kill his brother by law.

"You knew that your actions here got your sister killed." Said Edward as he attacked Arthur with his sword, following it by bash of his shield. Arthur, who got distracted by Edward's words, got taken by surprise and fell for it. He got pushed hard by Edward's shield, making him lose one of his swords.

Arthur's pain made him snap out of his daze while turning to look at Edward with anger in his eyes. He did not expect Edward to do something like that.

"What did you say?" Asked Edward as he thought that Edward killed Ashara to avenge their house for betraying him and sending men to support the Targaryens.

"Because of you and your prince's actions, the Lannister used this chance and killed Elia Martel and your sister after raping the two. Not to mention that your prince's children got killed in the process." Said Edward as he attacked Arthur aggressively this time and kicked him in his leg after pushing him with his shield. Edward used this chance to disarm Arthur while Ned killed Gerald at that moment.

"You are saying that Allyria died in King's Landing." Mumbled Arthur as he did not believe what Edward said. He did not care that he was defeated just like that. He only wanted to hear the truth.

"What did you think when the Madking was the one in power? What did you think when you and that cunt Rhaegar kidnapped the innocent Lyanna? Did not the girl have a father or brothers that would ask about her? What did you expect would happen to your sister when she was on the side of the Madking? Don't tell me that you don't know how many people the Madking had made an enemy?" Asked Edward with disdain in his voice. He wondered why those men took their oaths as something that was more important than their families. Sure, Turning against your words in a trade or a war would be bad for your reputation. But when the family was on the line, fuck all that. What was the use of your word if your family died because of it?

Look at Tywin for an example here. He did not care if his son killed Ned Stark in their confrontation or if his son got the title of Kingslayer as he saw that family was above all. And since their family's benefits were on Robert's side, why would he care if his son killed the Madking? If it was up to Tywin, he would organize a tourney in Jaimie's honor if that idiot did it for the family, not because he wanted to save the Smallfolk and the city.

Arthur could not say a word after that and fell into his self-blame state. Edward told Clinn to tie him up so that nothing could happen to him till he gave him to Ashara. Edward would appear as her hero after that. If she asked why he tied him up, Edward would come up with an excuse for doing that.

"Come on, Ned. It is time for us to take Lyanna." Said Edward to Ned, who gave Arthur a look of resentment. Arthur was Rhaegar's partner in all this in Ned's eyes. Although Arthur got ordered by the prince to kidnap Lyanna, he had a hand in this crime. Since Ned was an honorable man, he would not kill a tied man, not to mention he had given Edward his word to let him handle Arthur.

Ned nodded his head after hearing Edward's words. The both of them at once took the stairs with Edward. Edward told Clinn and Howland Reed to guard the tower and not to climb with them. He did not want them to witness the scene. Both of them would know that Jon was Rhaegar's bastard and not his trueborn son. Only Ned and Edward would know this information.

When they climbed to the tower's top, and Ned pushed the room's door and entered. Both of them could see Lyanna with two maids in the room. Lyanna was lying on the bed, which got flooded with blood coming from Lyanna while she was giving birth to her child.
