After that, Edward asked Robert to leave for Riverland to meet with Ned and Jon. Edwar told Robert to announce his claim to the throne once he met them. Edward did that for two reasons. The first was the lack of response from the crown until this point. They would have to stimulate the situation a little more. The second was he wanted to throw Robert's problems at Jon. Edward got more and more annoyed by his behavior during the last attack. Since Edward did not have time to babysit Robert, Jon could do that instead.

Soon, Robin Hood and the others succeeded in taking down the three towns. Edward ordered them to support Stannis if he needed any help once the crown attacked. At the moment, only Mace Flip did not finish his job. Edward had to admit that he gave him the most difficult mission. House Rowan could gather up to eight thousand soldiers. So Although they took them by surprise when they launched the full-scale attack, Goldengrove still had at least five thousand men when Flip arrived. And since he had to guard against the Lannister, Flip might need more time.

During this time, Varys finally responded to his letter. He sent him a little bird with Varys's message. Varys expressed his thanks for Edward for caring about the children and told him that he managed to sneak the small princess outside King's Landing to Storm's End. As for the newly born prince, Varys expressed that it would be difficult to do the same. It was the same for Allyria Dayne. Varys thought that he could threaten him with Allyria.

Edward could not stop himself from laughing. He wanted to kiss Varys right at the moment. It was as if Varys was helping him by threatening him. Although Edward found it hard to sacrifice a beauty like Allyria, He could punish the mountain and took more lands thanks to her. It was all for the greater good ^_^.

At the moment, Jon Connington was leading an army to attack Stormsland. It seemed King Aerys could not hold it anymore and exiled Owen for being a good for nothing and appointed the young Jon to take his place. What Edward had done to House Connington and the other three houses had already spread around Westeros, garnering many fears and dissatisfaction from the other lords due to Edward's ruthlessness.

Being the most involved in this case, Jon, who was mad and wished nothing more skinning Edward alive, gathered about ten thousand soldiers from Crownlands and decided to attack Stormsland. He thought that since Edward was attacking the Reach with his full army, Storm's End would be empty at the moment.

Jon decided to use his little head of his and thought in his heart that since Edward was attacking the Reach right at that moment, he would attack Storm's End and do the same thing that Edward did to him. Jon was a little crafty here, but he did not think that Edward hired the Shadow Legion Company and positioned them in the Kingswood.

Since the Shadow Legion Company was originally an assassination organization, they excelled in making traps. So all the Kingsroad through Kingsroad got turned into a large traped cage. Although Edward wanted to catch Jon after hearing what he was planning to do, he still resisted the urge to attack recklessly. He was at war, and he should act rationally.

Jon got injured by a trap in the Kingswood but decided against retreating to King's Landing to recuperate as he knew about the Madking, Aerys's madness and still led the army to capture Storm's End sacrificing more men in the process. Although The Shadow Legion Company was a group of well-trained people, they got outnumbered in this fight three-to-one, so they had to depend on guerrilla warfare and use ambushes using the forset around them. They would use the woods as their cover and launch attacks in the middle of the night or when the enemy rested.

The moment Edward heard about the attack, he took five thousand horseriders and moved in the direction of Kingswood. He left Lance and Elbert to lead the Siege on Highguarden with fourteen thousand men. Edward did not want them to really launch an attack, so it was fine with this number only for a siege. He instructed them to use Highgarden's heir, Mace Tyrell, to threaten them once something happened when he left. After giving some more instructions, he led the men back to Stormsland. It was the time to kill that cunt, Jon.

Actually, the most part of the cause why Edward went back himself and did not send Lance was due to Ashara's newborn baby. He had received the news that Ashara had given birth to his second son, and Edward was excited since he heard the news. Although it was not a good thing for the commander to return just like that, when he heard about Jon's attack, he found the opportunity and decided to defeat the crown's army and check on Storm's End after that.

It took Edward six days to reach The Bronze Gate. Due to the fortification he added to the castle, it was impenetrable, and the rest of Jon's army was stuck there even after they left Kingswood. The Shadow Legion Company decided against any frontal confrontations. They decided to retreat and defend the bronze gate against the remaining army according to Edward's instructions.

When Edward reached Helltown, he instructed some of his men to separate from the group and go to Storm's End to fetch the Connington prisoners. It was the right time to use them. Edward was furious at the moment and decided to torture the Conningtons himself when he arrived at the bronze gate. He would enjoy the moment after seeing Jon's expression when he saw the rest of his house die in such a horrible way.

When Edward finally arrived near the bronze gate, he did not attack at once but instead waited to gather more information about the situation. After sending some scouts to search the area, he waited there till the scout returned. Edward had trained the scouts to make good use of the terrain, and the best ones they could memorize were Stormsland's. By using the hills and bushes around the castle, the scouts were able to gather enough information without getting caught.

After Edward heard the situation, he could only smirk. It seemed that the situation was in his favor. Jon's army was tied to the castle and could not leave to attack any other place. Jon had already lost around two thousand men before he managed to cross Kingswood, and if he did not burn a part of the forest, he would have stayed there with his armies forever.
