Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Battle after Battle

A/N: Hey guys,

I hope everything is fine.

I wanted to inform you that I already modified the first five chapters and added more logic, some dynamics, and used some tools to ensure the grammar and words are fine.

So if you wanted to check them again, I will continue with the rest tomorrow.

So wish me luck and don't forget your support.

Enjoy.

While talking, they heard the sound of steps coming from outside of the dungeons. They knew it was their time to have some action. They already had the king in their hands. The men wanted to show their strength in front of Their Lord and the king.

The men prepared themselves to fight at once. They took their swords from their sheath and walked to the outside. When they were outside, they saw twenty soldiers surrounding them while being led by a large man with black hair. When Barristan saw the man, he was enraged and shifted his eyes to Edward.

"Lord Baratheons, please, leave this man to me," said Barristan as he moved to engage with the man.

Edward looked at Barristan and didn't say anything. He then joined his men in taking down the rest of Duskendale's soldiers.

The twenty men were already surprised by the small unit. They thought they were going against one or two people at most. But after seeing that they outnumbered their enemy, they calmed down.

But they were shocked next. The twenty men circulated Edward's men and dueled them in two-on-one or even three-on-one, but they still fucked up. The swing of Edward's men was strong enough for their opponents to stand and defend against it.

It was an easy job for the men to take care of such small fries as these soldiers were meh at best. Five-minute later, there were twenty-one corpses in front of the group.

And While Ser Barristan and Ser Hollard were still fighting, Edward heard about how Hollard killed Barristan's friend, Ser Gaunt, and another blah, blah, blah. He didn't know why they were always fond of talking during the duel.

Edward didn't care about this stuff. And after Barristan had finished his business with Ser Hollard and killed him, Edward and the men were on their way to the location of the third team. When he arrived there, he found Arc and his second team were already there.

It seemed that in the middle of the chaos, his third team was able to find a path through the Sewers to the outside of the town.

Edward thought that something was wrong. He knew that Tywin prepared a trap for him, but nothing had happened all the way here.

Edward didn't know if it was a false alarm or what. So he decided to throw this matter to the back of his mind for now. He then headed with his men to the outside of the city but didn't put down his worries.

It was an awful experience. Edward didn't wish to experience it again. The streets in this world already smelled like shit, let alone the sewers.

It took them about fifteen minutes to be outside the city. When they were out, they were finally relieved and put down their caution. They thought everything was over, so they moved in the direction of the place where they left their horses.

When They reached the place, and before riding their horses, they noticed a group of Smallfolks running in their direction. They raised their swords and readied themself for any attack. They still didn't know what was happening and forgot that they still needed to wear their armor.

Edward at once tried to warn them to wear their armor, but before he could do so, he sensed a dagger being thrown at him by one of the Smallfolks. He was able to deflect the dagger using his light sword. He shifted his eyes to identify who was attacking him. Edward didn't recognize who was attacking him. And after multiple attacks and not being able to sense who was attacking, Edward at once thought of someone. Edward trusted his senses, not to mention his sixth sense. This intuition, he developed some time ago, had helped him greatly.

So to be able to fool his senses, there was only one group who could do so. It seemed that Tywin commissioned the faceless men for the task. Luckily for him, he didn't show his power to anyone and trained his poison resistance in case such a situation happened.

His men readied themselves and were approaching to protect him but Edward signaled them to stay where they were.

The king wore his cautious and paranoid look. He began to think of who was scheming behind him and trying to kill him, and after his talk with Edward, he connected the dots and put everything on Tywin's shoulders.

Edward tried to make him come out or sense his location, so he moved in the direction of Smallfolks on his horse to try fooling the assassin. He started a killing spree. He would never allow himself to fall in danger to protect such insignificant fools that were being used.

He was prepared for any attack from the faceless man, and in the split second when he was raising his sword to kill another man, a dagger flew in his direction. He was able to locate the man before he dove into the crowd again.

After deflecting the dagger, he headed to the man at once and hopped off his horse as he raised his sword. He exchanged a few blows and thought that this man was not Jaqen H'ghar from the series. He should be a generation before him as this man was not as powerful as Jaqen H'ghar. Seeing his ambush failing and the hurricane strength displayed by Edward, the man tried to withdraw and complete the mission another day. But would Edward allow him to do so? He increased his attack speed and was able to cut the man's arm in his moment of retreat.

"A man is difficult to kill. A man earned his life." said the man before disappearing among the Smallfolks without Edward's notice.

Edward felt a chill through his spine and thought if the man had used this skill of his to sneak on him, he would be dead for sure.

Edward put down his caution a little after not being able to sense the man after some time, and the second that he lost his focus, an arrow was shot towards his heart. His intuition was his great asset, and He moved fast from the arrow's path, but it was too late. The arrow penetrated his left shoulder.

His men, seeing this, surrounded Edward at once while Barristan stood in front of the king. Although the arrow didn't harm any organ, when Edward broke and took it out, he notices that it was poisoned. It seemed that Tywin didn't put all his money on the faceless men.
