'Like hell, Even if that idiot Robert had ten thousand soldiers, all he knows is charge or attack. Although his intuition is good some times, due to his arrogance, he wastes everything. As for Stannis, he might be good at war arts, but he's still young and naive for him to lead an army. As for Renly, he has no hopes.' Thought Edward while shaking his head.

After that conversation, Edward spent the next two years training with his guards and the young pages. After the recruitment, Edward first got rid of the spies, especially those sent by the Lannisters and the master of whispers. Edward used tricks and questions from his past life that led them to slip. After that, he told his father about the situation. His father at once ordered for them to be killed all in front of everyone in Storms End. He didn't forget to order Edward to be present as he was the reason for their death. Edward didn't vase in front of death or blood. As he made the resolve to pass through all the game.

His father would not have agreed at once if he didn't see the interrogation himself. Steffon had witnessed the slip and the contradiction of what these spies' said. That had confirmed what his son had said.

Some of his father's men and some of the unit were around his father when the interrogation started. They could not help but angry at the Lannisters and the master of whispers for playing such dirty tricks. They were also impressed by the young son of their Lord.

After getting rid of the spies and recruiting more guards in their places, he started their training. He introduced the body training routines and sword arts from his previous life. He knew he couldn't get rid of all the spies or the weak-minded, so he divided the resources into layers, and each layer demanded a certain level of loyalty.

He also started to organize his army like the Roman style and taught them different tactics. He used different flags for different massages and trained ravens to be his war messengers.

He busied himself with his studies, Stormsland's management with his father, and training with his one thousand men.

After seeing Edward training with his men, Robert was dying with jealousy. He was the one with the most requests to Steffon, but his requests were all dull. He only requested something like a good hammer, a good horse, etc.

But after that, he went to Steffon and requested men like Edward. Although Steffon wanted to refuse, he still gave him one hundred soldiers to at least be fair. He wanted to offer the same treatment to his sons, and if he could groom them, both that would be great.

And what did the idiot do after that? He tried to influent his strength by attacking a bandit lair of three hundred men with only one hundred men without even studying the terrain or the geography of the lair. And what was the result? Robert nearly got himself killed and required Edward's help to rescue him. Although he managed to kill about a hundred bandits, he also had fifty deaths and was captured.

After that incident, Steffon refused to give him any men till he was an adult.

You might be wondering how the hell Edward was able to succeed. Well, it was an amazing idea and well-executed strategy.

He examined his guards first to check if anyone was injured or sick. As that might lead to the fail of the operation. After checking, he found that he had only 223 soldiers that could perform to their full potential. one hundred of his men and forty who had managed to escape from his brother's men. The rest were from his father. Of course, he wouldn't lead all the children, training with him, for this operation. He would only lead those who he deemed fit. They only numbered one hundred.

He, first, divided his men into five units into two different groups. The first unit would try to attract the bandits to attack with their low number of only a hundred men. The second unit would hide and wait for the enemy to gather and then attack from the right side. It was The same for the third unit. Each unit would have eighty men. The second and third units would hide till the enemy close by and then attack from the left and right wings, respectively. The fourth unit would attack the lair from the mountain's side after the enemy left the mountain. This unit had forty men. They would rescue Robert as fast as they could then attack the enemy from behind.

The last unit of 23 men would be divided into three. The first group would be the scouts that specialize in camouflage. They would lead the different units to perform their different tasks. Then there were the trackers who specialized in killing enemy Scouts while hiding. The last group would be the hunters, who would follow between the other two units and make sure there wouldn't be abnormalities. They were also tasked to spread a rumor to the bandits that the foolish second son of Lord Baratheon and the twin brother of the fool they caught led only one hundred men to rescue his brother.

He appointed his father's men plus three of his chosen men as commander of each group. And after the approval of his father and his men, he made his move. Steffon wanted to see his son's capability in this situation. He also prepared two thousand men in case the situation moved south.

When the bandits took the bait, it was their funeral. Although Edward prepared different plans and strategies, in case they didn't take the bait, it was unnecessary. The idiots took the bait. And with the difference in strength and Edward men moving within squads of five, and don't forget the crossbow unit he created, Edward's men started their killing spree.

When the bandit saw only one hundred men, they rushed to try and capture the second son. When they were only one hundred yards away from Edward. Edward's assistant, Flip, raised the red flag, and at once, the crossbow unit of twenty men and the other twenty archers in his group started attacking.

The bandits fell in confusion but still ran to Edward's group. But then, Flip raised the yellow flag, seeing Edward's signal, and the two cavalry groups hiding by the side started their attack.

Five minutes later, the fourth unit had already saved Robert and attacked from the back with the rest of Robert's men.

Half an hour was all it took for Edward's men to kill all the three hundred bandits.

Although the battle was easy, they still had twenty-three deaths and a few injured. Well, at least twenty deaths were from the group that escaped from Robert's group, or he would really have killed Robert himself.

After that accident, he performed different missions with his men. He first got rid of the bandits that room the Stormsland and painted Stormsland with their blood. He received the titles of 'the bloody stag', 'Edward Baratheon the schemer', 'the mighty stag', etc.

The small folks in Stormsland admired him and loved this son of their Lord. Edward unlike his brother Robert who didn't care about the Smallfolks and only wanted to fuck their daughters. Edward cared a little about them, at least that was what he showed them. He knew that Smallfolks might be used against him. He studied politics well and knew how to make use of the Smallfolks.

The same event happened when Steffon took the three young Baratheons with him to King's Landing to meet Arys Targaryen. When they reached the throne room, they found Tywin Lannister sitting on the throne giving orders as the hand of the king.

Edward looked at Tywin with interest. He was looking at the most cunning opponent who he was going to face in the future.

Tywin was one of the most brilliant people in the world. He took Casterly Rock when it was having a lot of problems like the decline of fortune and the huge debts, not to mention the rebellion of their competitor 'house Reyne'. When he took the lordship, everything changed. House Lannister turned from one of the poorest Houses among the great Houses to the one with the most fortunate. He was the one that put an end to the Rebellion of House Reyne.

His way of thinking was really unique. His way of handling house Reyne was amazing. It was the same treatment the Chinese gave their opponents.

They exterminated the whole family so that no future problems could happen. That was the real politics. Edward would prefer to hang their head in front of the main castle to serve as a warning, though.

When Arys entered and saw this scene, Edward could see a shift of expression on Arys's face. Although not that much as Arys still have some of his sanity, still the look of paranoia that appeared on his face made Edward sure that his existence didn't fuck the timeline.
