Nathan found himself staring at Sierra's contact picture to remember where she lived the day before Christmas Eve. Planning all of this had required a ridiculous number of sticky notes but he knew where he needed to go and wrote it on his hand so he would know where to walk once he left the house with the poinsettia.
He hadn't been able to wrap it but he did stick a bow on the nice pot he bought to place it in rather than keeping it in the cheap disposable one it came in. This way she wouldn't have to buy a replacement in the long run.
He was unaccountably nervous since he had never given a non-family female a present before. Then he chastised himself for being stupid. That was nothing to get worked up over!
Nathan rang the doorbell apprehensively. It was answered by someone vaguely familiar that was not Sierra and looked shocked to see him.
"You're Nathan Grant!" the woman exclaimed in disbelief.
"…yeah. Is Sierra here?"
