Amber frowned at her brother in concern. "Nate, are you okay? Do you need me to slap you across the face or something? Because I saw that once on TV for people who are freaking out."
Nathan was freaking out but he was doing it silently without hyperventilating. He was trying to stay calm on the surface at the very least for her sake.
"You don't need to slap me. I'm fine."
As fine as someone who had jumped out of the sky with no guarantee of landing safely could be. Truthfully, all he wanted to do was to go home and sleep. With the adrenaline wearing off, he was suddenly exhausted.
"Are you sure? Because you don't look fine," Amber said with narrowed eyes.
Nathan sighed. "Amber, I jumped off of a falling Ferris wheel; what do you expect me to look like?"
